Vishal Aditya Singh’s Heartfelt Connection: Embracing Chhath Pooja Traditions Amidst ‘Chand Jalne Laga’ Success

Popular actor Vishal Aditya Singh, currently captivating audiences in ‘Chand Jalne Laga,’ shares a heartfelt connection with a cherished tradition close to his heart – the annual celebration of Chhath.

Hailing from Bihar’s (Arrah) vibrant cultural backdrop, Vishal reveals that his family adheres to specific traditions during the three days of Chhath Pooja. During this auspicious time, his mother observes a fast not only for his well-being but also for the prosperity of the entire family. Vishal places great emphasis on the significance of his roots and Indian culture, attributing a part of his success to these treasured values.

Playing the role of Dev in ‘Chand Jalne Laga,’ Vishal expresses, ”The festival of Chhath Puja holds immense importance for me. About 15 years ago, when I resided in Bihar, I participated in a street decoration competition aimed at beautifying our surroundings and promoting cleanliness. Since that year, I have never missed participating in the competition and have consistently emerged victorious. The authenticity of celebrating Chhath Puja, deeply ingrained in our culture, continues to bring me immense happiness. Although I couldn’t return home for the festivities this year due to dedicating my full attention to our new show, ‘Chand Jalne Laga,’ I will be celebrating this festival with my reel family, embracing all the joyous traditions.”

In a previous interview, Vishal Aditya Singh delved into his process of getting into the character of Dev, stating, “It is crucial for me to delve into the essence of the character first. For Dev’s character, I experimented with various approaches. To capture the intensity and depth of Dev’s persona, I often spent long hours alone on my balcony, gazing at the plain sky. This practice helped me cultivate the loneliness that Dev embodies and made me feel connected to him. Dev’s character is marked by its calculative nature, characterized by a balanced and limited display of emotions. This complexity adds a layer to the role, making it challenging for me to portray at times. I genuinely hope that the audience appreciates my efforts and portrayal of Dev,” he concluded.
