@NEXT MORNING
@OMADHYA’S ROOM
Om: Wake up Aru.
Aru: What happened Om?
Om: Aru it’s 6:00 Dadi has kept puja today, so come on get ready and come downstairs.
Aru: Okay. Btw GOOD MORNING.
Om smiling at her: GOOD MORNING AND HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.
He kisses her forehead and leaves her smiling behind.
@AFTER PUJA
All the Oberoi ladies and few neighbour’s ladies are sitting in hall talking to each other. AniAruSaum and ShivOmRu with kids are in kitchen preparing for breakfast.
@HALL
Lady 1: Janvi ji when will your elder daughter-in-law give us the good news, it has been so long since she has been married.
L2: What? She hasn’t given you a good news yet.
L1 mocking at her says : No not yet.
L3: Oh god what sort of bahu (daughter-in-law) you have it has been three years to her wedding and she couldn’t even give you a grandchild. Look at my bahu (daughter-in-law) it has been just five months to her wedding and she is expecting.
L1: I am sure that this girl is an omen to your family, she can’t even bear a child, useless.
L2: Is she baanch (infertile).
Janvi: No it’s nothing like that.
L3: Really ji destiny of your son has been destroyed this girl definitely has some problem. She has just brought bad luck to your son and can’t even give him a child also.
Janvi tries stopping them but they were adamant at insulting Aru.
All the youngster heard the conversation.
Om shouts: DON’T YOU DEAR. WHAT DO YOU EVEN KNOW ABOUT MY WIFE THAT YOU ARE SPEAKING RUBBISH ABOUT HER.
ShivRu hold him and calm him a bit, while AniSoums hold Aru trying to pacify her, but rather than being affected Aru has a determined face, that is least affected by the conversation that has been pulled up by the women there.
Shivaay: I am glad that you joined us for puja but please leave now.
L2: Didn’t you learn any manners. Just to protect this ill fated girl you are throwing us out of here. It would have been better if your brother would have married my nephew.
Shivaay: Stop it and you better Mind your words, while standing in my house you are badmouthing about my sister I can sue you for this. Better you leave from here before I throw you out.
Rudra: And it would be better if you all don’t step in here again.
Aru: Bhaiya, Rudra don’t. (She asks them to stop with a stern voice.)
(She looks at the ladies and joining her hands speaks to them with utmost politeness.)
Aunty ji I am sorry on their behalf, they just said all this as they love me beyond measures. What ever you said is alright I didn’t feel bad about that. But I believe that we have one very small life and in this life we should live for our loved ones and ourselves, I respect your thoughts and whatever you said all that is your opinion but not ours. Maybe according to you a women gets completed only after she becomes a mother but I believe that women get completed when her entire family is together, her husband is with her in all the ups and downs of her life, when her in laws love and respect her even more than her own family and when she comes to her in laws and gets every relation whether that’s of a brother, sister, mother or father. And about kids, trust me I have my kids, Ira, Ansh, Shivika and Ruhi are my children as well and accept for them I don’t need anyone in this world.
So please I request you not speak all this not only to me but to any women in the world.
Anika keeps a hand on her shoulders and sees her with eyes filled with pride. Pride of having Aradhya as her sister, Aru smiles back at her understanding her emotions.
@OMADHYA’S ROOM
(After ladies leave.)
Aru was standing in front of the mirror, when Om comes and helps her in removing her bangles, Aru feels some awkwardness in his touch for the first time.
Aru: Om what are you doing?
Om turning Aru to face him speaks lovingly.
Om: Aru, I want to take this relation to another step.
Aru getting away from Om.
Aru: Om please.
Om: What happened Aru, don’t you want me to do this.
Aru: Om, it’s nothing like that but I think so that your this decision is influenced by whatever happened today.
Om holds her shoulder and in defending tone says
Om: Ya, so what’s wrong in that. I can’t let you listen and bear all the rubbish which people say.
Aru: Om it’s not about people and I really don’t care about them. They mean nothing to me but you do, your wish does.
Om: Fine so I want to take our relation to next level and this is my wish.
Aru moving a bit away from him, trying to make him understand.
Aru: Why all of a sudden?
Om: Aru this has to happen, so what’s sudden in it.
Aru: Please Om I am not ready for this.
Om: You aren’t ready for it? What do you mean? I want to take our relation to next level and that’s all.
Aru a bit angrily: Without my permission.
Om calmly: What do you mean?
Aru: I don’t want this.
Om being angry at her: Why?
Aru: Please Omkara.
Om loosing his cool completely: Aru, you know this isn’t first time that people spoke like this, I can’t let you bear all this.
Aru: Om who said that I am bearing all this, I don’t even pay heed to their nonsense. It doesn’t makes any difference to me.
Om: But it makes a difference to me Aru.
Aru: I am sorry Om, but I am not in this with you.
Om: So didn’t you accept me completely yet.
Aru: Stop it Om, you know it’s nothing like that.
Om: Then what’s the problem.
Aru: I can’t do this and that’s all.
Om being highly angry at her: Fine, I think so that those ladies were right, you definitely have some problem that’s why you are moving so far away from me. Or you just didn’t accept me completely.
This was it for Aru, she couldn’t take it anymore.
Aru being highly enraged and frustrated: JUST SHUT UP, WHY THE HELL CAN’T YOU GET OVER THOSE LADIES, FROM WHEN DID OTHERS START RULING OUR LIVES AND THAT TOO THOSE PEOPLE WHO DON’T EVEN KNOW A BIT ABOUT US. TO HELL WITH THEM OMKARA BUT I NEVER EXPECTED THIS FROM YOU. MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE WE HAD KNOWN HOW HARD IT WAS FOR US TO BE HERE AND NOW YOU ARE LISTENING TO THEIR RUBBISH. AND GET THIS CLEARLY OM FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL I AM NOT EVEN A SINGLE PERCENT INTERESTED IN ALL THIS NONSENSE SO YOU JUST STAY AWAY.
(Aru starts to leave but turns and looking at Om with moist eyes says)
Whatever others spoke about us it never hurt me but today your words have hurt me alot Om and more than anything the fact that your words were inspired by those filthy minded women’s out there.
She leaves the room with tears in her eyes.
Om cups his face in guilt and frustration, he never meant to hurt Aradhya but whatever happened had taken an upper hand over his emotions, he just couldn’t control himself. In frustration he bangs the cupboard hard which results in falling of a file down, initially he didn’t pay any heed to it but then picked it up.
He looked at the file on it were the words written in bold.
“OMKARA SINGH OBEROI”
The file was of OM.
@OM’S P.O.V.
I took the file in my hands, the name on the file was mine but I had never seen this before. I opened the file and this was my report. My full body check up report that was conducted three years back when the entire intoxication was removed from my body, I didn’t bother much to read this but I had asked Aru about my reports and she said that they were perfect. But with a glimpse of hesitation in her eyes which was well visible that day, so well visible that I remember it till date.
I swiftly turned few pages, while settling on bed.
Oh gosh! These doctors and their scientific language both go from above my head, anyways what search engines have been meant for. I took a look at the meaning of the words completely forgetting about the fight that took place a while ago. I don’t know why this file is having such a magnificent effect on me but the reason was not left hidden for longer.
THIS IS WHY ARADHYA DOESN’T WANT TO TAKE OUR RELATION FORWARD.
@END OF OM’S P.O.V.
Om slipped on the floor, with tears rolling down his eyes and tremendous guilt overflowing on his face. He clenched the file close to his chest.

#AUTHOR’S NOTE (DO READ):
Guys, this isn’t anything new that I wrote today but a fact that in India a women is always blamed if a couple doesn’t has a child or they have female child but it’s scientifically proven that neither of parents are responsible for gender of the infant nor a women is only the one responsible for a couple not having a child.
I won’t say that this is more prominent in the village area because it’s no less in urban areas as well. Both the educated and the uneducated have the same mind set and both whole heartedly feel that a woman is responsible for this.
I have been hearing about this issue since my eighth standard when I was first taught about gender determination and all. This always pricked me as this wasn’t a small issue but a big menace that has never been tackled seriously by any government or any individual barely anybody bothers to discuss about this as few people take this in a complete different way and others feel awkward while discussing this and as far as parents are concerned there are barely any who would talk about such matters to their children. One prominent reason for that is they also were never told about these things, while the second is that they do not share that friendly relation with their children.
I just have tried bringing this matter out as simply as possible and I hope so that I didn’t make this sound bad or vulgar. I just wanted to show a face of society which is far more worse than drugs and this is that face where addiction has reached to such a level that it has almost become impossible for any human to get rid of it.
“WORST ADDICTION ISN’T DRUGS BUT THE HUMAN MENTALITY AND THE LOW LINED THOUGHTS OF PEOPLE WHO WITHOUT ANY SENSE THINK THAT THEIR BIRTH RIGHT IS TO BLAME A WOMEN FOR EVERYTHING.”
And what to say about men, even women do not leave a chance to blame each other.
If we really want to get rid of this or any other menace then we all need to stand united against the evil and we need to speak out to people about this without even a pinch of hesitation and fear.
THANK YOU for reading this and if I have hurt you I am really sorry but if by any means this created some difference in your life then I am highly grateful and my means of writing this will be successful.

Sweety….you again proved that my little devil is matured too….this could have easily turned vulgar…but you managed it to keep it simple and straight which ofcoutse gives us the problem that women
n faces…..aru’s explanation to the ladies what can i say it was perfect….
This problem some women faces is difficult to go away because I think…women love comparing themselves with others so there are many stupid aunties love gossiping and telling others that they are the best….
But I must say in this matter according to what I read men have understood women and they are not…at least most of the time involved in this nonsense talk about women….
Thank you for giving us such a wonderful episode….
Waiting for the next sweet heart
You r right Princess men aren’t induldged in talking part but the contribute alot via physical and emotional torture and they r also really painful for many and words are definitely mighter then the sword.
Anyways THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH ? for everything ?
woah! what’s with om? he isn’t terminally ill, is he? please don’t make him cry again.
and the issue you addressed today is really true for most parts of the society. the women have been bearing the brunt for every mishap, they have always been made submissive to let the others take the credit and not have anyone else suffer. one way to say this would be the care of a woman, but that is no excuse when she is the one suffering because of the society. it doesn’t even have to be anything big like dowry problem, physical and emotional abuse by in laws, fetal s*x determination, killing the female embryo in the womb itself- there are places in india where such problems still exist, eating up our country’s crowd. but even in places where such issues are not so common, women still have to go through emotional abuse or make sacrifices because of no understanding among people. when a girl gets married, she is expected to leave her job; when she (married or unmarried) gets intimate with her significant other, she still has to think about the society and upholding her own respect; when a girl (again, married or unmarried) gets raped, the society still blames her and makes each day torturous for the victims; when a couple don’t have a child, the woman is again blamed, even if it’s their choice. these stereotypes with the backward thinking are what is holding our country back. but the more important factor is that no one talks about these. if you look carefully, the taboos established in our society are all associated with women. isn’t it time that we stop blaming the women and if we can’t support them, actually just let them be. tolerance has a limit and women too have their breaking point. it really isn’t healthy for anyone to push them over the edge!
and now that i’ve ranted enough about the issue at hand, let’s talk about this part 🙂
i really liked how you have used this topic as a plot device. i actually cheered when the bros and sisters were together in any accusation directed at any one of them. but om’s reaction was disappointing. maybe it’s because i’ve really grown to love this character, or maybe because you wanted to show the reactions of most men on hearing such allegations against their wives, but i just thought it would be nicer to have him behave a bit differently and actually just respect her wishes. it’s rare to see a guy who respects his girl in every situation and after we see even one, we wish the same from all our heroes! having said that, i think aradhya could have handled the situation coolly too, just like she did downstairs. it’s natural of her to behave a bit informally with om and let him know her feelings in any way she likes to. but for once, i wanted to see her on an equal footing with om, at least on the emotions and urges part. anyways, the bottomline is i loved it and want more right away, as usual. but i also know it’s gonna be a while before you post the next, right? 😀
sorry if my comment sounds inappropriate or hurts anyone, these are just my thoughts. 😐
???? the biggest comment by you and the biggest comment of this ff and I seriously appreciate your part. And please akka how many times do I need to remind you that your words never hurt me so please stop saying sorry on every single thing.

Hi di, after this update I am very happy that I have been reading your ff. Each and every update has its own charm and essence. Thank You for glorifying many issues in a very powerful yet polite way. From one of your comments on a ff I got to know about your way of writing is totally about women empowering and progressiveness of our country. You have never addressed or shown a woman /girl as a weak person . Still I remember many of your A/N of your updates which motivates the readers to think from another perspective. Thank you for all your wonderful updates which has all the elements of a ff and morals in equal proportion.
After this update a title popped up in my mind for you THAT IS “SISTER INDIA”. Hope you won’t mind it. Be happy and contented with your work , always. Spread the world with your righteous thoughts . And take care
With lots of love and respect
– Ashwinee ☺
Hi Ashwinee dear I don’t have words to show my gratitude to you trust me this is the highest level of respect anybody can get in the world but I really think that I don’t deserve this as I haven’t done much to be called SISTER INDIA but I can understand your emotions really well and I respect them too that’s why I am thanking you whole heartedly as this means alot to me. You genuinely made me emotional and it took me a while before I could think of replying to you. You have honured me with such a prestigious word and there is nothing above it for me. And yes you got it right that I always write about empowering of women the sole reason for this is that I am also a girl and about my way of writing I feel as a writer I have one of the most powerful weapon and that weapon is words,which put an impression on each and every single person who reads my work and it’s my responsibility that whatever I convey is apt for all the generations to read. Moreover as an Indian I always want my nation to progress and that is only possible if both girls and boys put equal efforts.
Thank you soooooooo much for reading my work and so much of appreciation you genuinely made me numb and teary. (Trust me this is for the first time that somebody could make me teary via a comment.)
Love you loads and May God bless you with a beautiful life and may he enlighten your mind to choose right path always.
Bye and Take care ?

awesome di
I wasn’t able to comment in the last 2 episode,sorry
this is a gud concept & the way u focused on the problem is fabulous
plz do update soon
Well done bachha… you have proved how efficiently you can receive the feedback and improve yourself… Your previous chappy was really good too… I know.. i didn’t comment there but couldn’t make it…
There is something, Om is bothered about.. Him ignoring Ira’s hopeful eyes, has made me think about his reasons… it can be some sorts of insecurities he feels.. as if his relationship with Ira will completely change if she becomes his daughter LEGALLY…
Aaru has much more… like I said before she is really deep character… The way Adhiraj and diya were portrayed was marvelous.. I was ROFL during Om and Aaru’s discussion… well done..
Here you wanted to portray turmoils which was really less.. but the way you pointed out how women are blamed is a WOW…
everything is going good but I felt this chappy was written in hurry bachha… Keep it upp keep writing and DO keep improving…
Thank you sooooooooooo much di and your words are always welcomed as I will always keep making mistakes and I am really glad that u will help me to improve and yes even if in future I make mistake please feel free to correct me.
I think so I have picked to much speed that’s why it felt like a very quick chappy although I have posted the next part I think that one is slower I revised it and changed few things keeping in mind about ur words so hopefully that one goes good.
Love you sooooooooooo much didu
Thank you
bye

I’m speechless dear.
The so called ‘SOCIETY’ really not bother about others emotions but want to gossip about their weaknesses.
This is true for many other things as well.
You had handled it without making it vulgar n that’s what I Iike about you.
Your writing inspires n you r right more than drug addiction peoples mindset about various issues is more worse as it also costs many lives.
