Hey my beautiful as well as handsome Twistinians, I hope I have awakened your excitement for the second update of the triple chapters.
Internal monologues are written in bold as you know and love them😉
Without any further ado and my blabbering…
~Continuation in Samrat’s POV~
I immediately run downstairs and see Mrs Solochana Chawan is standing in front of Badi Mami and they are glaring daggers at each other.
“Aap ghar wapas agaye(You are back home)?” I ask her while not believing it.
“Haan main wapas agayi apne ghar Sammu(Yes, I have returned back home, Sammu).”
I hug her and say, “I missed you, Nani Maa.”
“I missed you too, my munchkin,” She says and then asks, “have you found out your dream girl’s name yet?”
I nod, she smiles as say and her smile falters, “but there’s a problem. Badi Mami got me married to someone else.”
“And what about Sai, where is she?”
“She is on a mission, Granny.”
“Oh, hey Victoria. How are you and happy birthday to you beautiful. When’s Sai coming back?”
“Soon.” Aniket answers back to her question.
“Why don’t we FaceTime?” Nani suggests and that’s what we end up doing. While the others look at us like we are crazy.
So I lead Nani inside as we talk leaving Badi Mami to fume and the rest follow us.
“So how have you been Nani?” Maya asks.
“I have been fine Maya.”
“That’s gre…” she gets interrupted as someone is trying to get inside their house.
Victoria gets ready with a baseball bat and soon the door opens up, the person is…Sai!
“Omg Sai, you scared the hell out of us.” Tina says while Sai looks upset about something.
“I failed guys,” she says while crying as well as ignoring the fact that everyone in our family is also listening to her especially Virat, “I was not able to save those girls and now they are dead or getting sold into the human trafficking rings.”
“It’s not your fault Sai,” Nani says but gets interrupted by the said person…
“I know you want to call it collateral damage but innocent lives of girls and women got tarnished because of my mistakes, dadi.” She calmly yells in pain and sadness.
“Sai, look at me,” Virat says in a demanding way. She does the opposite.
“Please,” he requests and so she does that.
“It’s not your fault, my Sai is a strong woman and can fight anyone any day.
I pat his shoulder as she shakes her head by saying, “no, I’m not strong, I couldn’t fight them, not the way I used to. I have fallen weak.”
“Every human being has their moments of weaknesses.” I say.
“I know Samrat dada,” she sighs but soon regains her strength, “it’s just I want to save them from a miserable life and I’m not going to stop until I have saved them from Karan Mane’s clutches.” She stands up and is about to leave when Nani tells her that she is coming with her.
“It’s too dangerous dadi, but I can go with her as well as my team of police officers.” Virat suggests while most of the people do not seem too keen about it.
“Virat, unko jaana hai toh jaane doh na(If she wants to leave, let her leave Virat).” Badi Mami says.
“Mujhe phirse ghar se nikhalne chaati ho tum Bhavani(Do you want to throw me out of the house again, Bhavani)?” Nani asks the woman who looks down in guilt.
“So what, I was fed up with your constant unpleasant behaviour towards me!” Badi Mami tells her.
“You were always disrespectful towards me and did whatever you wanted. You never let Ninad get close to Ashwini, who you taunted the whole time with your arrogant as well as superior complex behaviour.” The real head of the house yells in anger and hurt.
All of us look at the person who caused us so much pain when I say, “I remember everything. I remember how you threw Nani out of the house,” I say looking at Mrs Bhavani Chawan and the anger in me is rising.
“What did she do Samrat dada?”
“The day of Bade Mamu’s funeral she threw Nani out of the house while most of the members of our family were absent.” I say remembering the behaviour of hers towards the eldest member of our family.
“You were not even upset that day but you were very cold, indifferent and angered towards Dadi Maa and us children.” Tai says while wiping her tears as soon as she sees our grandmother.
“That means all the moments when she used to be caring and loveable towards us all was a facade?” Virat asks while being confused.
Of course he’s her favourite child!” My heart and mind tell me at the same time.
“Yes, but she loves you Virat!” I answer back who looks even more confused.
“What kind of a woman are you?” Mohit asks while glaring daggers at her and asks, “why do you only love Virat dada and not all of us especially your own blood, your daughter?”
“Because she is an emotionless woman who only profits through our miseries and because our Virat has always been the one who follows all the rules.” Nani says knowingly.
Some of the family members nod after what she said even Sai does while Virat looks flushed.
I wink at him and he hits my shoulder while some giggle yet no one spares a glance at the woman who ruined all of our lives or rather most of our lives.
I notice Pakhi who has been awfully quiet doing something with her phone and a smirk playing on her lips.
I then say, “Virat and Nani lets go,” I pause when I see Pakhi listening to us intently, so I continue saying, “we should go and help Sai in stopping one of them.”
I see Pakhi’s face fall until someone says, “but before that you have to go through me!”
“And us two!”
“Us three,” Patralekha corrects as she walks towards them.
I look at them, smirk while Virat makes fists and I stop him as he is going towards them by saying, “let them try fight us, Virat,” I look at Patralekha when I ask her, am I right, Mrs Patralekha Mane-Mohitepatil-Chawan?”
I can only hear gasps after I finished saying those words.
~End of his POV~
