On the last day of college…
Ahem proposed Rashi with red roses:I have confessed my love to you many times.But today I am proposing you.Will you marry me?
Rashi blushed taking flowers from him:Yes.I too want to marry you Ahem.
Ahem carried her in his arms and twirled around.
Suddenly his eyes fell on Gopi’s teary eyes.
He thought:What happened to Gopi?While all are happy why our cupid Gopi alone not happy?
Gopi ran away weeping.
Ahem:Rashi…I will go to the wash room and come.
RASHI:Ok Ahem.
Without Rashi’s knowledge Ahem followed Gopi.
Ahem found Gopi with Jigar.
Jigar:Gopi…you only united Ahem and Rashi.Then why are you upset now?
Gopi:I united them as they love each other.I am happy for them.But still I am an ordinary human being Jigar.I still love Ahem and I can’t bear the pain of losing him.I feel really sad seeing him with Rashi.
Ahem was shocked:Gopi!
Gopi looked at him with a shock.
Ahem:Gopi..I thought you are our genuine friend.But now I realized your true colour.You pretended to be our well wisher and is lusting me secretly?
Gopi wept:No Ahem.You are misunderstanding me.
Ahem:Don’t try to defend yourself Gopi.I heard everything which you told Jigar.Till now I considered you as my trustworthy friend.But now onwards you are not my friend.I hate you Gopi.
Gopi was embarrassed:Ahem..please don’t tell this to Rashi.I don’t want her to hate me.I can’t bear it Ahem.Please…
Ahem:Let Rashi also know your true colour.
GOPI:Please Ahem…no..I beg you.
Ahem:Stop shedding crocodile tears Gopi.
Jigar:Ahem…Gopi is not pretending.She can’t control herself from loving you when she sees you.Is that a fault?
Ahem:It’s her fault Jigar.Only Rashi has the right to love me.
Gopi:Ok..But if you tell this to Rashi things will get more complicated.Do you want that?
Ahem:Ok..I won’t tell this to Rashi.
Gopi was relieved:Thank you Ahem.
Ahem:Not because my anger got melted seeing your fake tears Gopi,it’s only because my Rashi won’t be able to bear pain if she comes to know her best friend’s true colour.But stay away from me and Rashi.Never come between us.Otherwise I will tell it to everyone.
GOPI:I promise..i will never come between you and Rashi.
Present…
Rashi was shocked hearing this.
Ahem:That’s why Gopi broke all ties with us.She did’nt attend our wedding as I told her to stay away from us.Though she promised that she will never come between us she broke her promise and is staying with us shamelessly.
RASHI:But Ahem…I am not able to believe all this.
Ahem:Do you think i am lying?
RASHI:No Ahem.I know you can’t lie to me.But still…
Ahem:Still what Rashi?Gopi has come here purposefully to create distance between us as she wants me to be hers.She is succeeding as you started arguing with me for her.
RASHI:But Ahem..how can she come here to create distance between us?She never knew that she will end up in our house.I only brought her here when she was unconscious.I am sure that Gopi does’nt have any bad intention now.She is married and she agreed to stay here as she is homeless.
Ahem:She has left her husband Rashi.So her tag of being married is not is not an issue for her.I think her husband is innocent.He hates her..may be because he came to know that she loves someone else now also.Her own parents must have abandoned her because of her immoral character.After reaching here she must have thought of separating us and get me for herself as she is free now.So Rashi..let her go back.
Rashi was confused.
Ahem:See her off and come.
RASHI:Ok.
Rashi went to Gopi’s room.She was shocked to see the bags being unpacked.
RASHI:Gopi…
Gopi smiled:Rashi…I thought about what you said and decided to stay back.
Rashi was shocked.
GOPI:Ahem may be angry with me for not attending your wedding.But what to do?I had to go abroad for my higher studies.Admission was ready.
Rashi thought:Gopi is talking just opposite to what Ahem told me.
GOPI:I have decided to melt Ahem’s anger.So I am going to do something.
RASHI:What?
GOPI:I will make jalebi.You know that during college days he used to die for my jalebies.
Gopi went to the kitchen and started making jalebies.
RASHI:Gopi,what is the need of all this?
GOPI:Rashi…I will have to make it to melt Ahem’s anger.
Rashi thought:Oh God..what will I tell Ahem now?
After making jalebis Gopi was satisfied:Jalebies ready.
Ahem was sitting in his room.Hearing footsteps he turned back calling Rashi.He was shocked to see Gopi.
Ahem:Gopi!
Rashi came.
GOPI:I have decided not to go and decided to stay back to make you my friend again.
Ahem was stunned.He stared at Rashi angrily.Rashi became upset.
Gopi started feeding him jalebi forcefully.
Rashi felt uncomfortable seeing Gopi feeding Ahem with her hands.
She thought:What is this Gopi doing?
GOPI:Now you are feeling better.Right Ahem?Anger level has gone down.Right?
Ahem was silent.
GOPI:I knew that my jalebi can do that.
She patted his cheek:Bye for now.Because you are craving to spend time with Rashi.
Gopi walked out.
Ahem stared at Rashi angrily:What is all this Rashi?
Rashi was silent.
Ahem:See how she decided to stay back and made jalebi for me?Did you see how she fed me jalebi with her hand?She is trying to woo me.
Rashi :I think you are right.She was being too sweet to you.
Ahem:Good that you started understanding that.
Rashi thought a lot about what Ahem told about Gopi and Gopi’s behaviour.
After some time…
Rashi went near Gopi.She stared at Gopi.
RASHI:Gopi…can I ask you something?
GOPI:Yes ask.
RASHI:Did you love anyone in our college?
Gopi became dull.
RASHI:Tell Gopi.
GOPI:Yes.
RASHI:Whom did you love?
Gopi was silent.
RASHI:Tell Gopi.Don’t test my patience.
