Malika: ok so you don’t believe me right…. Come with me. She takes shivay to Anika’s room and ask him to look. Shivay looks inside and finds anika sitting and crying. He gets shocked….
Malika: see how she is crying? Even now do u think that she is happy with all this?……
Shivay was looking at her…. Anika had kept her head on the corner of the bed and tears were flowing from her eyes. Each tear of her was wrenching his heart. Now he couldn’t take it anymore…
Shivay: I won’t let her cry… No I can’t.
Malika: that’s what I m saying shivay… We have to stop this marriage and even find a perfect guy for her.
Shivay: all that later now u just go inside and cheer her up… Do anything just go! Shivay insists her like anything.
Malika was not able to believe her eyes. Now her doubt was getting more stronger. She smiled and said.
Malika : shivay ( he looks at her) go!!
Shivay: what r you saying Malika? Just go and make her calm.
Malik: even u can do that shivay…. Just go! Sometimes some people can have huge impact on us…. Just go. She assures him.
Shivay looks at anika and starts moving in.
Shivay’s pov
I have to do this. She is my life now…. I don’t care what will happen tomorrow but now I want to be with her. I love her and love never expects anything in return. I have to do something to disattaract her. He thinks and by mistake he touches his own hand( his hand was burnt guys) he feels pain…, ” oouch”. Suddenly an idea comes to his mind and he looks at her.
Shivay: anika…. He calls her.
Anika wipes off her tears and looks at him standing. He was holding his hand.
Shivay: I m sorry but this wound is paining alot. Can you please apply this ointment please…, ‘ ahhh’! He winches in pain.
Anika gets up and runs to him. She holds his hand and gets worried.
Anika: I had asked you to let me apply this . Come sit.
She takes out some ointment and puts on his hand. She slowly spreads the ointment on his wound. He was looking at her.
Anika: is it paining much shivay?
Shivay: I think you should answer that question ?
Anika: Haan? I didn’t understand..
Shivay: why were you crying anika? And now please don’t try to hide anything. Come on speak up.
Anika: it’s nothing important shivay.
Shivay: hmm…. Actually I want to know that why everything related to you is not important? Why you never give importance to yourself.
Anika: it’s nothing like that shivay… I know Malika must have told you something. She cares for me alot that’s why.
Shivay: yes Malika has told me but I m not talking about that because that’s not important anika… Now if something is important then that is you. Now in all these days I have started reading you. You are very nice anika… Just different from others and most important you think alot.
Anika was surprised to see shivay telling her about herself.
Shivay: now listen neither you should deny your mom for this marriage nor you should deny your feelings. Just give sometime to yourself and then decide.
Anika: it means I should say yes to veer?
Shivay: Naah bilkul bhi nahi till you don’t say yes to yourself don’t say yes to him. He smiles. Just try to know him whether you like him or not? Is he good for you and everything else?
Anika: and if I didn’t find him suitable for me then…
Shivay: just go to your mom and tell her that you tried your best in this relationship but you don’t feel him like your Mr. Perfect.
Anika : but it’s not that easy shivay…. If I don’t like him then mom…
Shivay: hey anika… Since we r talking on this matter you are just saying one thing that what if I don’t like him…. I mean you are saying as if you have already someone else…. He jokes.
Anika looks at him and remembers her school time how she was madly in love with him and till now she can’t stop herself from thinking about him. Everyday she used to die to talk to him once and now he is just sitting in front of her and even talking to her.
Shivay: hmm…. Anika lost again. Now do one thing.
Anika: what?
Shivay: call veer and tell him that you want sometime and till you don’t feel like he is suitable for you, you won’t say yes to him.
Anika: what? No shivay I can’t do this..
Shivay: just be ready anika I am calling him. He started dialing veer’s number.
Anika: you are calling him… Wait this is my phone!! When did you take it?
Shivay: when you were busy in crying. Now get ready he is on call and talk with full confidence he should not feel that you are foregranted. He puts the call on speaker.
Veer: hello anika!
Anika: vee… veerrr… She stampers.
Shivay signs her to be normal.
Anika: veer actually I wanted to say that I want to…
Shivay( whispers) : speak up….
Anika: veer woh… Actually I want some time… I mean we both need sometime to know each other.
Shivay( whispers in her ears) : tell him that you will not marry him if you don’t find him suitable.
Anika: what? But how can I? She shouts. Veer hears her.
Veer: what happened anika? What u can’t?
Shivay( covers the phone with his hand) : anika don’t shout just say what I am saying to you.
Anika : veer I want to say that if I don’t feel… Please don’t mind OK… I was saying that if I don’t feel like marrying you then sorry…. I mean it’s about my life and I can’t… Hope you understand.
Veer: ya sure anika! No problem so I think we can spend sometime so that you know me. So tomorrow evening I am coming to pick you up.
Shivay’s pov
He doesn’t leave a chance to get close to her. I m just tolerating him for anika otherwise….
Anika: tomorrow?? Nahi veer…
Shivay: anika say yes…
Anika: but I don’t want to…
Shivay: I m saying na just say yes… Don’t worry nothing will happen.
Anika feels Helpless… She agrees to him.
Anika: Okk veer. She cuts the call…. Shivay am I doing correct?
Shivay : see its about you only so it’s very very correct and as it’s my advice so in future if something bad happened then I gave you full right to beat me up. They both laugh. Now after this you will definitely get relax anika because you have got some time to decide so just sleep.
He smiles and gets up to go.
Anika’s pov
In school days used to feel that shivay is full of attitude but his this version is making me fall more for him.

Shivay: did you say something?
Anika: Nahhh… Gud night.
Shivay’s pov
Hmm… See this whenever I say something she doesn’t listen… and me… I am listening to what she didn’t even said. But I felt like she said something about me…. Leave it.
Next day evening
Anika was getting ready to go. Shivay tells Malika about all what he told anika last night.
Malika: what? Seriously…. You asked her to spend sometime with that veer. Shivay I told you naa that she is not happy for this. You should have made her understand….
Shivay: relax Malika I did that what was needed at that time. You know na that anika thinks alot before doing anything and in this case if I had asked her to directly say no to veer then she would have say no to me instead. So I asked her to test him so that unlike her nature this time she could test him first and then think instead of thinking a lot and doing nothing.
Malika: okkk I understood but what about you?
Shivay:me?
Malika: I mean what if she said yes to veer. She tried to make him aware of the consequences.
Shivay : it’s her decision….. And you only told me that we are her best friends so we should find someone good for her so let’s try veer.
Malika was shocked and confused to hear shivay. She couldn’t conclude to what shivay was up to.
Shivay’s pov
I know what I m doing can take anika away from me but before telling her about my feelings I want to make her listen to her heart as she never does that and after that I will tell her about my feelings and about veer I just have faith on my love. My love won’t allow anika to go for someone wrong and the rest is up to you on God.
Anika comes. She was beautifully dressed up in a long skirt and crop top. Shivay turns and looks at her. O jaana plays. He found her breathtaking.
Anika comes to him.
Anika: shivay should I do this?
Shivay: beautiful!! ????????
Anika looks at her.
Shivay: I know she must have not listen this also… ( he whispers to himself and feels sad)
Anika: thanks shivay…. She smiles.

This shivay…. Oh God! Seriously his reactions…. Sometimes he behaves exactly what I think and sometimes exactly opposite to my thinking.
Malika: so anika enjoy your date… It’s your first date right. I hope you feel nice on your first date. ( he makes shivay hear that anika was going on date so that he can feel jealous)
Shivay: all the best anika!
Veer comes and asks anika to come with him. He goes to get the car. Malika gets a call and she gets busy.
Anika starts moving towards the door and turns. She looks at shivay. She didn’t wish to leave him. He sees her and comes to her.
Shivay: I know you don’t want to go…. ( anika feels surprised as he again got to know what’s going on her mind)
Anika: can you please come with me?
Shivay: Haww… What will I do on your date? He tease her. Ya if you want to go with me then I have no problem. He smiles
Anika: shivay aap….
Shivay: OK OK I was just kidding…. Now go he must be waiting for you. Anika feels sad and turns….

Till now I had decided that I will never say anything to him but today I feel like if even once he stopped me I will say that I love him….. I love him a lot….., ” anika!” and yes he called her…. She gets happy and turns. She looks him and was almost going to say….
Anika: shivay… I lo… But before she could say anything he took her in his arms and was holding her close to him. She was dieing to hug him once and today her wish got fulfilled. She didn’t think for even a second and hugged him back. They both were just lost in each other.
Shivay’s pov
How idiot am I? I can’t send her away from….
He tighten his grip.
Anika’s pov
Wow today I decided to tell him without any fear and see what happened…. I can’t betray his friendship by loving him.
Phone rang and they both realized their positions. They both come out of the moment. Anika was feeling little awkward.
Shivay: anika… This was just a friendly hug don’t feel awkward… I m sorry I just wanted to….
Anika: shivay it’s alright and thanks for this hug actually I needed this from my best friend. Byee… He smiles and bid a goodbye to her.
After sometime veer and anika reaches to a party.
Veer: anika actually today is my friend’s birthday and I was invited so I thought to get you here…. Come let’s wish him. He took her with him. She met his friends and talked for a while. She was getting bore as they were all talking about their college days and all and she had nothing to talk about so she excused them and went to the washroom. After a while she came out and started searching for veer. She found him dancing with his friends so she didn’t go to him and went to a table. A man came to her and started staring her. She felt little uncomfortable…. She moved to the other table. The person followed her. He came to her and started flirting with her.
Man: hey you are beautiful! Can I have dance with you?
Anika : sorry and she started leaving…. He hold her hand. She took back her hand and went to veer.
Veer was busy in dancing…
Veer: come anika let’s dance…
Anika: veer that person…. He is not right. Can u please come with me?
Veer: anika it’s OK… May be he is drunk! Leave it.
She felt herself a burden on veer so she went and sat on the table and was very angry. ” hey beautiful! Can I sit here?” someone asked. Anika was hell angry and she got up and was going to slap him but he hold her hand…. She got shocked!…, ” shivay…” sees him in front of her.
Shivay: Haan main! And what did I do? I thought you wanted me to come with you so I quickly got ready and came. Ohh so u spoiled your date that’s why you were going to slap me ok main chala jaata hoon.
Anika got tears in her eyes seeing him. She just hugged him and started crying…. Shivay got shocked…. To be continued.
