Manmarziyan and Reporters started on 13th April on the same 9pm slots on Star Plus and Sony respectively. Manmarziyan is the story of the show is about self-discovery, friendship, relationships and exploring life. The story is about a girl called Radhika Mishra, who belongs from a middle-class family. She is a sweet, docile and shy girl; but she is keen to explore uncharted territories and all that life wishes to offer her. Radhika has a strong grip over writing and usage of words. While Samaira, Radhika’s best friends, is born and brought up in Mumbai, Radhika hails from Hrishikesh. Samaira notices Radhika’s talent and inspires her to move ahead and utilize her talent to the fullest.
Whereas Reporters is a completely different show based on media industry and the truth unseen behind the cameras in a news agency. An emotionally charged drama woven around the lives of two people finding love in a complex world of journalism, where there is no right or wrong way of looking at news and their life.
The main lead of the show, Kabir Sharma is a legend and an inspiration for all aspiring young journalists like Ananya.He is smart as he is irreverent and has his unique way of reporting news. Ananya is a strong willed girl who is driven by her passion to be an investigative journalist. She is intelligent, ambitious and idolizes Kabir Sharma. They cover a situation where a girl is kidnapped to marry a minister forcefully. Kabir too, secretly covers the story on his camera. Ananya and her cameraman are caught, but Kabir escapes in style.
