Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan started airing on Star Plus on September 28, 2015 at 8.30PM. The show replaced Badtameez Dil. It brings a love triangle between three friends, and is produced by Balaji Telefilms. It stars Vibhav Roy, Gautam Gupta and Shritama Mukherjee in lead roles. Koyal is an ordinary girl from Jamshedpur who believes that there are two types of people: people who live for someone, and people who someone else lives for. She also believes that love can’t be done by mind, its just done by heart. Madhavan is Koyal’s best friend who is in love with her, and Raj is Koyal’s love interest. Madhavan loves Koyal since their childhood, where Koyal leans for Raj’s free nature. All the three leads’ families are related to each other through their place of work and profession. Madhavan is a book worm and Raj is the opposite, a unruly boy who aspires to become an actor. Raj, Madhavan, and Koyal come from different cultural backgrounds – South Indian, Punjabi and Bengali.
Whereas Lajwanti premiered on 28th September 2015 on Zee TV from Monday through Friday, 10.30 PM. Lajwanti has replaced Doli Armaanon Ki. Lajwanti is based on Urdu writer and film director Rajinder Singh Bedi’s novel. It is a sweet love story set during the times of the Indo-Pakistan partition. There were Muslim-Hindu riots and chaos all over the country. Lajwanti is a Sikhni of Punjab, whereas Sunderlal is from Lahore. The story reveals how Lajwanti sticks to her love and tries finding happiness. It showcases Lajwanti’s trust and the separation track after the partition. It shows her marriage with Sunderlal, her hope to find happiness in such disturbed environment and her loyalty towards her husband after their separation.
