Swara heard it but pretened not to hear it and smiled at her audience.Sanskar let go off her and stood beside her and both bowed down and they ended the concert.The curtains were drawn closed and Sanskar picked her up and went towards the green room.Everyone else came and were talking about the success of the show.But our heroine was lost in the words spoken by him.She was trying to understand what to do and what to say. Ragini saw her lost somewhere and asked others to leave them for sometime.
Ragini(placing her hand on her shoulder):Swara? What’s the matter?Where are you lost?
Swara(sighing):Nothing just thinking about sometime on which my whole life will based.
Ragini(concerned):What is it?Are you thinking about Sahil?
Swara:He isn’t even in my thoughts right now.But someone else is.
Ragini:Who?
Swara:Sanskar…..
Ragini(confused):Sanskar?? But what did he do?
Swara(lost somewhere):He did something which he should have done years back….
Shreay:What he should have done?I am not getting what are you tying to say…
Swara:Nothing…. Can you call Sanky here.I need to talk to him about something.
Ragini(concerned):Are you sure?
Swara(smiling):I am absolutely sure.
Ragini went out and Swara went into the time when she first time heard these words but from someone else.

Swara’s POV
Sahil, the new guy in our class was a charmer.But I was least interested in him and when you have a very possissive best friend like Sanky then toh no boy can come near me.I was blessed to have him as my friend and I always thank God for sending me him to me. Everything was going on fine until one day I saw my father entering the house where I and Sanky lived with Sahil.I was shocked so was Sanky.He held my hand tightly as if I would be snatched from him.
Shekhar:Swara,darling..How are you my child?
Me:I am fine papa.But whatt is Sahil doing here with you?
Shekhar:Oh..So you both met eachother.That’s good.He is actually my friend’s son and I have come here to give you a news.I have fixed your marraige with him.
This was a bomb for me as well as for Sanky.He instantly left my hand in shock.I was looking at my father in shock.How could he just do that?
Me:Dad you are kidding right..This can’t be true.
Shekhar:Of course I was kidding… Oh my darling how can you think I will give away my little princess to someone so easily.
Sahil:Don’t worry Shona……
Me:Swara…Not Shona… only Sanky has that right to call me and no one else understand.
Sahil(putting up his hand in defence):Okay no offence.Swara would be fine right?
I nodded at him.
Sahil(forwarding his hand):So can we be friend at least please?
I hesitated a bit but eventually gave in.I shaked hands with him but instantly felt unconfortable with his touch.I ignored it and I felt my other hand being caught by Sanky.He glared at him but I assured him not to worry.
Days turned into months and Sahil’s growing closeness towards me was increasing.I always used to meet him along with Sanky as he would never leave me and I too felt relieved when he was there around me.
One fine day,I came to collage alone as Sanky was ill.I was walking to my classroom when I heard someone calling me from behind.I turned around to see Sahil sitting on his knees in front of me with a rose in his hand.I was shocked would be an understatement.
Sahil:Swara I don’t know how to say all these but I can’t keep these things in me for long…. So I am coming directly to the point.Swara Banerjee, I, Sahil Sengupta is head over heels in love with you. Will you do the honor of becoming my girlfriend and my wife?Will you hold my hand throughout my life? Will you help me complete my story and help it become ‘HAPPILY EVER AFTER’?
I didn’t know what to say.
Me:Sahil…I haven’t seen you more than a friend…so…
Sahil:Swara I know this is all in a hurry. We just met and I am proposing you but have faith in me.I am ready to wait for you.Take as much time as you want.I don’t have any problem but please take your decision quickly okay….
I nodded and he got up and handed the flower to me.He leaned in to kiss me but I backed off.I gave him a tight smile and went away.The whole day he kept on giving me many things.I just wanted to rush back home and tell all these things to Sanky.Only he can tell me what should I do.By th end of the day,when I was returning home Sahil again came by.
Sahil:Swara…I just wanted to ask whether you would go out with me on a date or not?
I didn’t know what to reply.
Me:Aaa.. Sahil.. I will let you know about it..I cant think about it right now.I hope you don’t mind..Right?
Sahil:No not at all Swara… take your time.
And he went away.I rushed back home and said everything to Sanskar.At first his facial expression said something and he, himself said something else.
Sanskar(holding my shoulder):Shona.. What ever you think is right you do…I don’t have any problem with it.And more over he is your father’s friend so he knows what you are and I always remember I am there with you.If anything happens don’t hesitate to tell me first.Okay?
I nodded but I am sure he wasn’t happy with this.But for my happiness he accepted it.He encouraged me to go on a date with Sahil and I agreed.
Sahil took me to a lavise hotel for our first date.I liked th set up but was missing Sanky very much.Sahil tried to entertain me but failed.I always put up a fake smile to him.The date ended I rushed back home.
Sahil kept on giving me surprises and gifts and took me out for many dates.I didn’t know when my silly heart fell for him.But I didn’t tell him yet.Like this years past by and we were finally in our last year of collage.I and Sanky were a part of the collage band.It was the day of farewell and since we were very famous couple in the collage we were forced to sing a duet.Sanky sat down with his gitar and me beside him.

Everyone cheered for us.Sahil was looking at me with a huge smile on his face.I too smiled at him for the first time and thought of giving this a chance.I left the stage and stopped Sanky.
Me:Aamm…Sanky I want to tell you something…
Sanskar:Tell naa…(while keeping his gitar)
Me:Actually….I….
Sanskar:You don’t need to hesitate about anything you know right…Then say what you want to say….
Me:I was actually thinking of giving Sahil a chance and come in relation with him.What do you say?
I noticed his hand stopped and he froze at his place.But he instantly recovered and smiled.
Sanskar:That’s good…very good….I will be very happy.
Me:Really?
Sanskar(cupping her face):For your happiness I can do anything.If you think he is your happiness then I will never stop you.I just want you to be happy that’s it. And whatever is your decision I will support you.
I smiled and hugged him but he hesitated a bit and finally hugged me.We were called on the stage for some special announcement.When we reached we say Sahil again sitting on his knees.
Sahil:Swara,I love you so much and I can’t wait for you to be my wife.Will you do the honor of being my betterhalf? Now if you are waiting for your father’s reply then look there.
I looked at his diresction and saw dad standing.He gestured me to accept it.I turned towards Sanky.He just smiled at me.I looked around.The whole crowd was telling me to accept him.I went forward and kept my hand in his. Sahil stood up and hugged me.This was for the first time I allowed him to do so.
Sanskar came forward and held my hand in his.
Sanskar(giving my hand in Sahil’s):Sahil I am giving you the most precious part of my life.She is my diamond my everything.If I see any scratch on her then your life will turn into a living hell I promise.Hurt my life and I will show you what hell is.Understood?
Sahil nodded but I saw sweats on his forehead.
Me:Sanky you are scaring him too much.See he is sweating even in this cold atmosphere.
I tried to lighten up the atmosphere but I never knew this proposal would cost my life forever.

Swara was brought back to present by the sound of clicking of door opening and Sanskar entered.He was observing her every moves from the time he took the risk of telling her those words.He was also in the same thoughts like her.

Sanskar’s POV
When Shona said me about her liking for Sahil I was shocked, more than being shocked I was hurt.But I masked my emossions and supported her.For me her happiness was more than anything.So I agreed to her. I warned Sahil but seeing his changed facial expression I was getting some doubts.I was about to cross him but Shona stopped it.I was then called by principal sir.
Principal:Sanskar…Seeing your academic performance and music talent our college has provided you with an offer.You are being called by the King’s College London to complete your further studies.It is a great opportunity for you.
I was shocked would be an understatement.Finally I would be able to fulfill mom’s wish.But suddenly Swara came into my mind.I turned around and saw that she was happy with Sahil.I didn’t know what to do.
Pricipal:You don’t need to tell me about it right now.Think about it and let me know by the end of this week.And congratulation.
I smiled at him and went into thinking mode.If Swara gets married to Sahil then what would I do.So it is better for me to take up the offer.But I need to tell this to Shona first.I was about to go that way when I saw her laughing and smiling with Sahil.So I stopped at my tracks and watched at her as she was enjoying with him.I thought of not disturbing her and went away.I tried to control my emossions but I am also a human.How can I hide my feelings for her.I wanted to cry , shout but nothing came out of my throat.Tears were accumulating in my eyes.I wiped them harshly and kept walking.
“Still you will be staying with her?”, came a voice from behind.I turned around and saw Shekher uncle standing with his hands in his pocket.I didn’t understand what he was trying to say.
Shekher:You didn’t understand what I mean right? So let me make it clear.Now you can see that Swara and Sahil are together and will be hinched after some day.So don’t you think it will be wise for you to leave her house and shift somewhere else?
I started thinking what uncle said and he was right.I need to shift from there.
Me(with a fake smile):Sure uncle.I will search for some place soon and shift as soon as possible.
Shekher:You don’t need to think about it much.I have made all the arrangements.You just pack and leave the house before they return.
I was confused.
Me:They?
Shekher:Aare Swara and Sahil went for a date.So I am advising you to leave before they return.
‘DATE’….that one word broke me more.But I faked a smile to uncle and left.I went back and started to pack my stuff.With every single thing I was putting my heart was breaking into million pieces.But I smiled remembering her smile and I thought for her single smile I can do anything if it means to let her go to someone else also he is ready to do that.I smiled sadly and left the house.But I never knew that I was clearing their way to harm Swara very very badly.

Sanskar snapped out oh his thoughts when he heard Swara calling him.
Swara:Sanky….
Sanskar:Hmm…
Swara:Can I ask you something?
Sanskar(going near her):Yaa sure Shona…. Tell me
Swara(blankly):Who am I? Mai kain hu Sanky?I don’t know who am I ?I am lost again please tell me kain hu mai?
Sanskar was shocked to hear her.He didn’t understand what had triggered her to such an extant that she is having doubt on her identity.He went towards her and sat in front of her on his knees and cupped her faced.
Sanskar(softly):What happened Shona?Why are you asking such things?
Swara(blankly with tears in her eyes):I don’t know.After seeing him again I just lost the confidence I had built these years.He broke me to such an extant that I am having doubt on my existance.You know everything naa then tell me naa who am I ?
Sanskar had tears seeing her state.He stood up and held her shoulder and turned her towards the mirror.
Sanskar(softly):Can you see the girl there?Do you know who is she?She is a very strong lady who can fight with everyone and everything.She has a big heart and caring attitude towards everyone.She might have a new face, new name, new identity but the person she is from inside will never change.She has given someone new life, her one smile light up the whole world of someone very near to her.She is UNIQUE in her way.She is the queen of someone’s heart and she is the best.
Swara smiled hearing those words again but with some modifaction.She looked at him through the mirror.
Swara:Thank you….
Sanskar:Ohho…I lost count now….
Swara looked confused.
Sanskar:Arre your counts of your‘Thank you’s…..
She laughe lightly and elbowed him in his stomach.He growned.
Sanskar:Oh God you are seriously violent.
She laughed at him and her laugh brought relief to him.He sighed and smiled.Swara remembered something and asked.
Swara:Sanskar I have decided something will you help me in it?
Sanskar: Yes Shona of course. Say naa….
She kept on looking at the mirror which had the image of her and his and it was picture perfect.She smiled at her thoughts and looked at him who was hell worried about her decision.
Swara: I want to give love a second chance. Will you help me in it???
Sanskar was shocked and happy to hear it.He looked at her and they had a cute eye lock.
Swara(keeps looking at him):You had said something to me during the concert after we had completed our last duet song.Do you remember?
Hell off course he remembered.He nodded slowly and waited for her reaction. She kept on looking at him and was enjoying his restlessness.She kept up a serious face and spoke.
Swara(fake serious voice):How can you ask me such a thing like that?
Hearing her his heart broke and he was now scared that he would loose her friendship too.
Sanskar(stammering):It….. was…..just….ki..ki…
Swara:What ki..ki? Say it properly.
Sanskar(stammering):I…. I…..
Swara(loosing her patience):Sanskar if you don’t tell me clearly in the next 2 minutes then you will see the worst side of me.
He became scared hearing her voice that he failed to understand the hidden motive in it.He looked away from her.
Sanskar(in one go):I LOVE YOU SWARA….I LOVE YOU…..
The words echoed in the room and she felt so happy to hear it again.She was smiling but he again failed to notice it.
Swara:And you don’t want to hear its reply?
He nodded his head but she wanted to tease him more.
Swara(playful tone):Aare say naa I can’t understand what you want….
Sanskar(fearfully):I….I….want to hear your answer….Shona….
Swara:I WOULD LOVE TO BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND MR.SANSKAR DASGUPTA….
Sanskar thought he heard something like no.But after recalling it again he snapped his head towards her.
Sanskar(shocked):What…What did you say….
Swara(casually):I just accepted your proposal.
His happiness had no bound.He picked her up and twirled her making her shriek.He was laughing and so was she.Finally they had got what they were starving for.He settled her down and sat in front of her.
Sanskar:You don’t know how much happy I am today Shona.I always wanted to tell you but I guess my fate didn’t help me that time and…
Swara(stopping him in between):Sshh… kitna bolte ho….Listen to my answer fully toh.. I am giving myself another chance to experience love and I know you will fulfill everything that is within your limit.I want to experience everything Sanky…. Everything…Will you give me those?Will you complete my fairy tale love story? Will you?
She asked in such a vulnerable state that tears slipped out of his eyes.He kissed her forehead and then her eyes.
Sanskar(softly):You will everything..Everything…I will complete your fairy tale love story.I will do everything that is within my limits..EVERYTHING…THIS IS Sanskar DASGUPTA’S PROMISE…
And she hugged him tightly and tears of happiness flowed from her eyes.
Swara(crying):I….I….LIKE YOU SANKY…I LIKE YOU SO MUCH…
He was so happy to hear her.
Sanskar:I hope to hear LOVE YOU TOO SOON….
She nodded and hugged him more tightly.He looked up as if thanking the lord for this happiness and kissed her hair softly.But something struck in her head.
Swara:Sanskar..Sahil was here.I know he can’t recognise me but he can recognise you naa.What if he gets to know that..that..
Sanskar(cupping her face):Sshh…. He can’t recognise me also..Did you forget what he knows about you and me?
She thought for sometime and she remembered it.
Swara:But..but…Your face hasn’t…
Sanskar:Sshh… I said naa don’t think about it and lets go home.I am starving aren’t you too?
She nodded and he picked her up again.She kept her hear on his chest and closed her eyes feeling safe.He kissed her head and walked out of the room.
