Everything froze except Rei and Roop , Roop , narrated the beautiful ballerina’s story while Su was able to hear only a few words. Roop told Rei that the ballerina in the picture is she herself, and the tale about Roop’s past began, she told that she belonged to a good well – off family, of aristocrats, and was the one privileged to , get a chance to go to school even in those days ,as her family was a modern one, and in those days very less children went to schools.
There was a war that year and the school building, destroyed during the war, and economic crisis hit the country many , students quitted but she continued to study as she had a strong will to . As there were almost no students the teachers , many times, made a visit to Roop’s house for delivering the lessons, but one teacher made most frequent visits , he taught , classical music, and those days the girl who knew classical was considered of high status and caliber and got the best of marriage proposals and Roop liked being famous and wanted a rich high class Aristocrat for herself, who would fulfill all her , costly requirements , but sadly no-one , even the richest/ wealthiest guy of that area got rejected by her as she thought he, was not of her status and didn’t have enough money, though he was richer than her family. She was over confident of her skills and her beauty which was not good. Soon she married a rich and noble man , and her wedding was a grand one , which was a glare to many people’s eyes , they did attend the grand wedding with a black heart………………..
After speaking this much Roop guffawed, and silence……………………….
Roop neared Rei and looked into her eyes, they were just expressionless and Roop’s eyes they were red -red like blood , those red eyes looked into Rei’s and she vanished and reappeared near the arachnids and picked up one of them, as she looked at it , the glass caricature gave a blindning glow, and as the vision cleared , the young trio found themselves in an arable, and able to move. Roop looked at them and sighed, her eyes glowed green, and she vanished, with a gust of wind followed by her companions departure. Rohit fell on the soft wet soil, while Rei and Su ran towards him , and helped him up ,as he got up they, enquired each other’s state and began exploring that area , while Rei looked worried , and scared as she feared new , abandoned and quiet places like that patch of land, warm and cozy breeze blew through that area which was quite relieving after that cold night, the sun shone bright, but suddenly that comforting breeze changed into cold and furious wind, which bought dust,straw and sharp edged leaves etc with it , they ran towards a stable nearby but it vanished in air as they entered inside, and one of those windblown sharp thing, made a sleek /clear cut on Su’s cheek and a thin red line was seen, she felt the pain after sometime by the time the red line had thickened and developed a brownish crust of blood clot possibly, and something round or conical and blackish was seen sticking to her cheek as Rei examined it , it was discovered to be a big thorn, which had cut through her thin cheek skin and muscles, and the blood clotted around it,s boundary where it was in contact with her cheek,, they decide not to pull it out as pulling it out for now would create trouble for them and for Su , but suddenly that thorn grew large in size and speared through the other side of her cheek, and began rotating , widening the hole ,in her cheek and causing immense pain , as Rohit and Rei pull out that thorn, it develops small pointed projections on its surface and falls down and all this in a blink of an eye, no-one was able to understand anything, but as that blood soaked pointed thing fell on the ground and the first drop of blood kissed the soil, the scene changed to vermillion, and Su’s cheek bled badly and the same green glow was seen again while Su screamed in blue murder.
The hound appeared of nowhere and eyed Su, went near her and it’s spooky, creepy lousy like black tongue licked her cheek, EEWWWWWW!!!!!!! REI exclaimed, the bleeding stopped and that area of her cheek turned purplish, red,bluegreen, brown just a mixture of bad looking creepy colors, which made the duo with her feel giddy, and finally turned black , and as they looked around the scene had turned black ,like the darkest night, that they were going through, and suddenly a glowing figure appeared only that figure was to be seen in that darkness, and the figure was recognized as the ballerina from the daguerreotype, and all shouted Roop’s name and Rei , murmured to herself, “When did she learn ballet? Wasn’t she a classical……………..”
Suddenly she felt a chill behind her back, and found out Roop standing behind her, who passed a daft smile and acted babyish, and in a sulking voice told her to look there, at the ballerina , who was continuously, time and again looking at her wrist watch , and moving in a circle swiftly, with short steps and it looked like she was waiting for someone , and soon a well dressed young boy arrives, there and something happens that send a wave of shiver in REI’s body and she stands in a defensive stance ,it was Roop who whispered in her ear and almost scared her to death, as it happens when you are too much deep into something and someone suddenly speaks in a low voice near your ear. Roop neared her ear again and whispered , “I learnt , for him…” and pointed towards the guy and with a green glow in her eyes disappeared again but,this time she left behind some shining/glowing snowflakes , which looked beautiful, as they danced in midair , and suddenly someone started playing romantic tunes on a Piano, and that girl hugged the guy , who looked displeased but, still hugged her tight, SU murmured ‘who is…….’ And Roop in her usual freakish way appeared behind her and whispered in her ear “MY HUSBAND” and disappeared again, and as the piano tunes played in BG which changed with the situation, our trio saw that girl wearing a ballet dress (dunno what it’s called) and that guy was pleased to see that , and the girl took him to a well decorated room with a specially decorated table for him, and he sat there and the girl performed for him, he looked happy, and exalted her.
The next they walked hand in hand, across the streets , he took her to a costly restaurant, and he pulled out the chair for her to sit on, a sign of a noble man, but that was just, short lived nobility of that man , as she sat he smirked, and he went and brought the waiter and the manager , with him and asked them to decorate the table specially for his wife , and prepare special meal for her, which made her happy , and they served them drinks and asked them to wait, till their wishes are being taken care of. Soon the special table was set and the special meal served, and the entertainer’s , entered the stage and started their work,and as a part of their work they went to the guests, and took them to join the stage with them, and the scene froze………….
Roop appeared again and in a loud voice asked whether the trio had , any queries? And one by one she disappeared and reappeared behind everyone and murmured the same in their ears , which sent a chill through their spines, and that voice they heard was freakingly cold…………
Su’s lips moved for asking the question, and before any voice came out Roop appeared infront of her, and in a kiddish, and freaking way she asked her the query, SU tried to speak , her lips moved , but no voice came out, Roop nodded her head and said that she asked a silly question, and looked at confused and scared Rohit and Rei, and she appeared infront of them, looked into their eyes and , repeated the question, and then she reappeared on the same stage , with spotlights focusing on her , and a mike in her hand ,and she began answering the question, she said that she isn’t as young as she looks , she was twenty four when she died, and had a son,from her first husband, and the guy they just saw was her second husband,her love , and that she killed her first husband for money, and for him, the trio swallowed some air as their throats were dry. Rei asked her about her son, and irritated Roop appeared infront of her and kept her finger on her nose, her spooky glowing all looking into hers, and then she said, “I don’t like meddling and questioning, kids like you, and enough of questionnaire”
The BG music starts playing again and the scene, was the same just one change , Roop was with some other, toff , whose eyes were filled with love for her, and they danced on the same stage, then went for a walk where she stabbed him , and some sounds of someone walking with a heavy walking sounds were heard, and someone wearing jackboot entered the scene it was the guy from before, they took his body and made a few wounds on it by making a hound attack his lifeless body, and the same hound attacked Roop too and made minor injuries, and hence died the handsome man in an accident, and his wife just got saved on the nick of time by another guy.
This gave them the reason to meet daily as the women met her savior daily,for the people it seemed this but the truth was something different, and dark.
Soon the day came when the property was to be transferred to Roop, and that they celebrated, and he asked for his share but Roop, denied , giving excuse of some left out court procedures, he got furious,and they argued, and he said “you are a reneyl but, I am not, gullible” and hit her hard with a vase , as she began drawing unconscious he said, “your ultimatum was this and now you………..”
EVERYTHING GOES DARK AGAIN……..
Roop appeared with a sad face and besides her the hound , the insect and the child stood there with sad faces………….
Betrayal, cruel betrayal ! Roop exclaimed …………
That hound and insect turned into glowing balls again, and wrimed and slowly seeped into Roop’s body………….
And everyone looked at her………………………..
And Rei tried to pacify her,Su spoke again and said that she understands about the hound but what about the evil cherub and the insect? Roop’s backchat’s irritated Rohit and he replied “A betrayal for a betrayal’ , which worked as a wave of rage for Roop,her eyebrows pulled down together,her eyes wide open and glaring upper eyelids raised in a stare, and the scene changed vermillion red again and as she appeared infront of Rohit a Gallowig fell from the child’s hand and it began crying, she rushed to calm the child but all in vain, by that time the sun rose her powers became weak ,and the sun Ray hit her and she burned in agony, and disappeared with a warning, but the child remained unhurt, as the sun rays hit their eyes they were blinded……….
It was morning and a few sounds were heard calling out the names SU,SK, KARY,YAZ, ROHIT, and REI bit all in vain as they had left for an unknown journey, except REI who was found sitting on , the dry soil crying and surrounded by her brother and his friend’s bodies which lay in a circle, holding hands , as if trying to protect her ,with her was a small child with a gallowig in it’s hand and crying………..and vague figures of the FREAKZ looking at them and smiling
Her eyes looked around in horror , and was taken back home and the child was safely delivered to it’s parents, and the causes of deaths of the FREAKZ were, blood loss, poisoning, animal attack, dehydration , and heart failure……….
Rei remained in shock unable to speak anything, she murmured a lot to herself, and her unintelligible and gibberish talks declared her, mad , one day some voices were heard from her room , as if she was talking to someone and that night she passed away peacefully in sleep…………..
Life is moving forward that’s the rule , life moved on for people of that place too , and all was it used to be before but just a little , negligible change, occurred, people were now more alert/cautious while crossing the forest ,and the tale of that cold bl**dy winter’s series of accidents that took the life of five no SIX youngsters , who came camping , ran across that place and no-one dared cross alone or in night,but the truth is something that was buried with their death…………………
