“when will our new boss come , will he also be like last one, khadoos?”ragini twisted her lips while avni smacked her shoulder earning a glare from ragini.”ok I won’t think bad about him…I am going down to grab something you want anything?”ragini stood up while avni nodded no.
“wait stop the lift”ragini screamed running towards the closing lift but a hand stopped the lift and ragini sighed getting in.she looked here and there and saw a face which mesmerized her.”hi I have not seen you here, you are new?”ragini asked the stranger who frowned at her.she was like this,not hesitating in talking to stranger doing what she wished.ragini shrugged seeing his cold behavior who didn’t even replied to her.
“these staff why are they saluting me as if I am the owner”ragini thought wierdly .she stopped and saw avni smiling at someone behind her and giving her a glare.ragini turned around seeing avni’s behavior and stepped back seeing the handsome face in front of her.”you followed me till here,behaved in lift like you don’t care and now, you boys”ragini clicked her tongue smirking at the boy who in turn cleared his throat and went from there.”ouch”ragini winced when avni hit her.”he is our boss”ragini widened her eyes looking at his cabin.”what do I do…I went for the Manali trip and came today only, how would I have known him”ragini pouted sadly.she went in his office and apologized for her behavior on avni’s insistence while he just nodded.”sanskar maheshwari, khadoos but handsome”ragini thought coming from his cabin smiling.
“when will he come”ragini tapped her feet looking outside his cabin.”above this , his mom is continuously calling, let me pick it up”ragini picked his mother’s phone and heard from other side a bombarded worried voice”sanskar you went to mandir,I want the Prasad from you only don’t send any driver,why weren’t you picking my call,so busy in work”.”hello mam actually sir is not here”ragini spoke calm and composed.”ok beta, you are his employee? your voice is so sweet….beta does he eats properly? please take care of him,he forgets food for work and rarely sleeps, please beta”sujatha pleaded from other side feeling a connect to ragini.ragini felt confused but seeing her concern she promised to look after sanskar, the motherly voice made her weak as she didn’t knew how it feels with family because she’s an orphan.
“sir your coffee, you might need it to concentrate”ragini said holding a cup smiling while sanskar frowned for her concern.sanskar kept distance from all his employees,only business talks and no expression other than glare or frown.ragini felt sad seeing him not flashing even a small smile on anything even when the company got a big project.his eyes seemed to depict particular saddness, the spark of Joy which she saw in others eyes she couldn’t find in his.but she could not leave me to himself or he will die of hunger and insomnia, she tried her best to ensure his well being.somewhere in her heart she wanted to be the reason for his smile.
“your food sir”ragini said coming with a plate in his office in lunch time.sanskar looked at her blankly and said frustrated”why are you after me… from 2 days taking care of me more than a colleague..I know Mom told you to do it but it’s not needed…. listen stay away from me”. ragini teared up seeing his anger and said in a broken voice”sir I made a promise to her… she’s a mother how could I refuse her…I know how it feels to be alone but you should feel lucky that you have someone”. sanskar felt bad seeing her like that,it reminded him of someone’s tears which pinched his heart and kept hand on her shoulder saying sorry.ragini gave a weak smile going from there.”was he worried for me?”ragini thought expecting it to be true.
“yeah party at least today sir won’t be lost in files”ragini exclaimed happily.”dance ,come avni let’s dance”she pulled avni to the floor and started dancing crazily.she looked at sanskar through the corner of her eyes who was busy in his phone having a grimace on his face.”romantic song…I am left alone”ragini said while Neil came taking avni with him.”sir, yes”ragini said looking at sanskar who was standing silently aside,she finally got a chance to get him out of his agony , at least for some time.sanskar refused but on ragini’s and others insistence he danced with her . when he kept hand on her waist she felt her heart in her throat loosing herself in his touch while sanskar danced uninterested.”sir… actually I think my dress chain is broken”ragini said hesitant to sanskar who kept hand on her back nodding and taking her in his embrace he took her from there.everyone looked on shocked while ragini was lost in his eyes which reflected a worry ragini wished to emancipate him from.she felt heaven being in his embrace but his hollow smile,lost eyes pushed her in the pit of darkness where the way out she didn’t knew.she felt his pain connecting with her and she just wanted to see him happy , genuinely.
“he is so sweet,I was flat on his looks from first meeting but his cold nature couldn’t hide his caring side,I fell in love with him while looking after his meals, his behavior in party….I feel complete around him… with him…I am going to propose him today”ragini thought happily moving towards his cabin,it all was too fast but ragini had always been clear about her feelings, she lost herself in finding him, her love.
“where are you dhara please come back…I love you… till when this hide and seek? now mom is ready for our marriage… please come back.. you are not breaking mom and son’s relation”sanskar cried hugging a photo frame while ragini looked on shocked and numb seeing him so broken , vulnerable, the strong and emotionless person could cry like this she hadn’t thought, his misery pinched her heart above that another girl’s name from his mouth who brought such emotions in him, she understood he has someone in his life.
“sir here is the file”ragini came after few minutes wiping her tears deciding not to confess her love as she now knew the reason for his behavior,he lost in his love.ragini wished to hug him and soothe his pain but the thought of another girl pinched her heart.”you know my dhara is my life…I am broken after she left me…. stupid… she left because my mom wasn’t ready for our marriage… she was so innocent…. never wanting to hurt anyone…. she lived in poor conditions but never was greedy unlike mom thought.she went taking my life with her… the vibe of my life…. shattering my heart, taking colours from my life and my anger ,my misery made me this emotionless robot”sanskar said to himself more than her but ragini stood hearing him, she saw genuine happiness in his eyes only with the the name of dhara.
she was about to leave what the photo frame slipped from sanskar’s hand and the glass shattered, sanskar hurriedly bent down with teary eyes trying to collect the glass but it pricked him and blood oozed out of it, ragini ran to him making him stand up but sanskar took the photo holding it closes to his chest.ragini did his dressing whole he just admired dhara’s face smiling painfully, ragini looked at the photo and saw a beautiful girl with doe shaped eyes,a huge smile and sharp features.she felt jealous for a moment seeing her being sanskar’s happiness but averted her gaze hiding her tears.
“he loves her a lot…. even if I confess to him ,he won’t love me because his true love is dhara….I will stay as only his employee now…I won’t let those words come to my tongue even if they suffocate me…do I even have right to love him when he loves someone else??”ragini cried the whole night with the promise never to cry again.
“where have I seen her?”ragini entered the office in deep thoughts when avni attracted her attention showing her phone.”you got thousand likes on your Manali trip photos”avni squeaked happily while a thought crossed ragini’s mind.she ran to sanskar’s cabin who was working on laptop.”my world of dreams shattered but I won’t let his shatter”ragini thought and addressed sanskar huffing due to running.”she’s in Manali”ragini said happily making sanskar jump out of his seat.”dhara?? you have seen her?”sanskar smiled through his glassy eyes, ragini lost herself in his smile,his genuine smile but composed herself.
“I saw her in Manali in a temple”ragini explained him while sanskar looked on attentively.”will you come with me?”sanskar asked hopefully , ragini wanted to refuse,it will pain her very much but seeing him she nodded.sanskar smiled happily and hugged her, ragini felt a tingling sensation but convinced her heart that he is not hers,woh tera nhi….
” I stayed in this hotel… the temple is 10kms from here so we have to go early in the morning to know about her”ragini told sanskar who seemed excited.”how will dhara react? she will be so happy to know that maa agreed for our alliance.it wouldn’t have been possible without you ragini… thanks”sanskar said happily and they moved towards temple.”something broke inside me silently but seeing you smile I forget all my pain”ragini thought admiring his smile.
“sir let’s go”ragini said as they reached the temple.”ragini not sir only sanskar,we are not in office and you are with me for my personal work”sanskar held her hand telling her, ragini wanted to stay like this but the next instant he left her hand breaking her illusion.
“she had worn the local clothes only, do you recognize her? please help us”ragini spoke to the priest after getting disappointed from the shops nearby.”some girls come here every month from the nearby village to pray I think she was also with them”priest said bringing a smile on sanskar’s face who held ragini’s hand tightly in excitement.they moved from there taking directions for the village.ragini looked at their connected hands with tears.she was being dragged by sanskar and she moved senseless not having the strength to move herself or think, she dreaded th moment when he will go to dhara but the pain kept on increasing turning into tears.

“sanskar I saw her…. she is at a tea stall nearby…I was going to the village alone as you were sleeping when I crossed the tea stall… and I saw her there… come fast let’s go”ragini ran to sanskar’s room who just woke up,he nodded his head not able to believe he finally was going to meet her.he pressed his lips controlling his sobs to which ragini looked on smiling that he will meet his love.
sanskar and ragini were traveling when they crossed an ambulance, sanskar prayed for the person while ragini looked at it with a mysterious spark in her eyes.ragini gave him further directions and they reached there.
sanskar saw her and his soul came back to his body.he smiled through his tears while ragini moved back slowly.”dhara”sanskar whispered seeing her going away.”dhara please come back…maa agreed… you have to come back…I am incomplete without you.. don’t run away please”sanskar fell on his knees crying.dhara stopped and ran towards him hugging him bursting into a cry.ragini smiled painfully moving back reaching middle of road.sanskar hugged dhara tightly cherishing the moment.they stayed like that for some moment when sanskar phone didn’t stopped ringing.
he pouted at dhara who chuckled seeing him and he lifted the call getting up.”sir the madam who came with you..”a person said from other side while sanskar looked at ragini who was standing in middle of road showing him thumbs up to which sanskar nodded.suddenly a truck passed the road stopping sanskar’s breath for a moment.he heard the person say”she died in a truck accident… come to the hotel soon”.
“ragini”sanskar screamed phone falling down from his hands.ragini stood at the same spot smiling at him saying”I fulfilled my promise to get your love to you”. ragini turned around and disappeared into thin air.sanskar looked in her direction shocked but dhara came asking him what to which he shook his head and taking her rushed to the hotel.tears did not stopped flowing down from his eyes,he felt strange,he got his love but something created a vacuum inside his heart.
