Woh Toh Hai Albelaa fame Kinshuk Vaidya files police complaint against alleged harassment by locals in Alibaug
Kinshuk Vaidya, known for his role in the TV show “Woh Toh Hai Albelaa,” has recently reported being subjected to harassment by certain individuals from Alibaug. The actor lodged a complaint at the Alibaug police station, accusing the sarpanch of Nagaon of hiring land movers to damage his staff gate.
Speaking about the incident in a recent interview, Kinshuk stated, “I own ancestral property in Nagaon, Alibaug, which I converted into a resort in December 2022. Over the past few months, I have been facing harassment from the locals in Nagaon. This morning, around 7:45 am, the sarpanch of Nagaon, Nikhil Mayekar, allegedly instructed one of his acquaintances who owns a land mover, along with the operator, to break my staff gate. I have CCTV footage as evidence, so I decided to file a complaint at the Alibaug police station.”
According to Kinshuk, the harassment is due to the locals’ desire for a wider road, which would require encroaching upon a part of his property. He explained, “The residents of the nearby area have been demanding a broader road, which can only be achieved by encroaching upon a portion of my property, which is not feasible.”
Expressing his faith in the country’s judicial and law enforcement system, Kinshuk expressed his desire for the harassment to cease. The complaint has been registered at the Alibaug police station, and investigations are underway.
When contacted, Nikhil Mayekar, the sarpanch of Nagaon, Alibaug, denied the allegations, stating, “This is untrue. He has filed a complaint merely to harass the villagers. I will address this matter tomorrow.”
Abhijit Jadhav, Assistant Police Inspector at the Alibaug police station, confirmed that a non-cognizable complaint had been filed by Kinshuk Vaidya against Nikhil Mayekar, the owner of the land mover company, and the individual responsible for damaging the property. The complaint falls under sections 426 and 427, and the police are actively investigating the matter.
Kinshuk Vaidya has appeared in various TV shows such as “Ek Rishta Sajhedari Ka,” “Shaka Laka Boom Boom,” “Jaat Na Poocho Prem Ki,” “Karn Sangini,” and most recently, “Woh Toh Hai Albelaa,” where he portrayed the younger brother of Shaheer Sheikh. The show recently concluded, and in a previous interview, the actor expressed his satisfaction with being part of such an engaging project, describing it as a fulfilling journey.
