Voice: But who did this to him…?
All turned to find Anjali, with tear filled eyes.
Rithik: (Smilingly approached her.) Relax dear, it is a promise of this elder brother to keep your love safe… And I’ll get hold of the culprit soon…
Anjali: (Mouth and eyes were wide open on hearing the word ‘love’.)
Rithik: (Chuckling.) What…? (Turning to Krishna and spoke.) Don’t tell me you are yet to confess your feeling to her…?
Krishna: (Had his head hung low, he avoided eye contact with anyone there.)
Dilshad: LOVE…? (And looked at Krishna and Anjali.)
Both were tensed and had their head hung low.
Daadi: (Had a pleasant smile.) Dil, I think, we’ll be arranging for another marriage soon… (She ended by chuckling, seeing the still forms of Anjali and Krishna.)
Rithik: You just give me your acceptance Daadi, I’ll look after all the arrangements for the wedding, being the elder brother… (Said punching Krishna on his tummy slightly.)
Krishna: (Rubbing his tummy, gave him a fake smile.) First get yourself locked with someone and then come forward and get me locked with her…
Rithik: Lame…
Krishna: (Gave him a royal ignore.)
Gauri: (Hit her forehead with her hand.) Hey Sankar ji, (with her hands raised high) please give me the tolerance to handle these two… (To Rithik & Krishna.) Both of you, better shut up, before I pull out both your heads…
Rithik: No baby, no violence…
Krishna: Ritu bhai, violence resides in every single drop of devil’s blood… (Said as a matter of fact.)
Rithik: (Smiling.) GOOD LUCK…
Krishna: …?
Rithik: (Smiled more and turned his gaze.)
Krishna: (Followed his gaze and found Gauri glaring at him.)
Krishna: (To Rithik.) Now, what happened to her…? (As he still didn’t realize his blunder.)
Rithik: (Pecking his forehead.) You’ll soon know…
Before Krishna could ask what, he found himself landed on the floor. He lifted his gaze to find Gauri, with her hands on her hip.)
Gauri: Violence resides in every single drop of my blood, and I’ll exactly show how violent I can get… Good Luck… (With a smile.)
The whole hall was filled with Krishna’s laughter, as Gauri was tickling him to the extreme.
Rithik: (Chuckled.) Ok guys, get over with it…
Gauri: (Stopped and breathed hard, as she was laughing continuously for a long time now.)
Krishna: (His situation was the same as of Gauri.)
They shared an eye-lock, smiled and shared a tight hug. Her head was buried in his chest. She breathed few words in his chest, shivering.
Gauri: Please KB, I can’t afford losing you… Please, take care of yourself…
Krishna: (He pecked her head and his hold around her tightened, acknowledging her.)
After a while, they broke the hug and were composed.
Daadi: (To Krishna.) So puttar, when are you going to propose my gudiya…?
Krishna: (His eyes widened, as if it would be out of the socket.)
Anjali: (Her cheeks were covered with a deep shade of red.)
Daadi: (Chuckled at their reaction.)
Rest joined her soon.
Rithik: (His gaze randomly fell on Pari, who was playing with the kids and Pratek. The mere sight of her stirred something in him, which he didn’t understand. He couldn’t take his eyes of her. He pulled his eyes of her with much struggle to not make things obvious.)
Later all dispersed, Pari with her family left to their house, after a warm talk with Anika and kids. Daksh too left with an excuse of his work, which none cared for. Rithik too left promising to catch up with them soon after getting completed with his work.
Scene – 57:
Later at mid-night, 11:45 PM,
Pari’s house,
Pari: (In her room, was sitting on the couch placed parallel and closely to the window. Her eyes were fixed nowhere in particular, but gazing through the window.)
Seeing the lights turned-on in Pari’s room, Ankita marched towards her room. She found her daughter seated unusually silent and idle. She waited for few minutes and studied her daughter’s every single expression. Later, she walked close to her and placed her hand on her shoulder, startling her.
Pari: Aai… (Her eyes were glistering with unshed tears.)
Ankita: (She understood the inner turmoil of her daughter. Without any word she gathered her in her embrace.)
Pari: (Let out all her pain as tears silently.)
After few minutes of dead silence,
Pari: First time in my whole life, I felt something stirring in my heart Aai… I think, I shouldn’t have accepted for this drama… It hurts, very bad… (And broke down completely.)
Ankita: (Simply tightened her hold around her daughter and cooed her in her embrace.)
At once Pari’s sobs turned silent,
Ankita: It’s not your fault bachcha, he is too good that anyone could fall for him… But it would be a sin to break someone’s love… Precisely when it is your sister’s love…
Pari: (Buried herself more into her Aai’s embrace.) I won’t hurt my Anu thai… I promise…
Ankita: (Shed tears continuously. She was having a war in her as on both the ends were her own daughters, who had fallen for the same man. She could have done anything for her Pari’s love, if not her Anu on the other side. She couldn’t hurt Anu, who made her feel as a mother for the first time. Even Pari and Pratek came after Anu for her. She was worried for her both daughters.)
Pari: Aai, I want to sleep…
Ankita: (Helped Pari flat on the couch and placed her head on her lap. She continuously stroked her hair, comforting her.)
Pari: (Fell into deep slumber soon.)
Someone covered Pari with a comforter. Ankita lifted her gaze to look at worry filled eyes of her husband. Without any word, he stood beside her and pulled her into a hug. She rested her head on him and shed all her pain as tears. He continuously stroked her hair with one hand and rubbed her shoulder with the free hand.
Scene – 58:
Oberoi Mansion, 00:30 AM,
All the guys were gathered in the poolside. All were silent and engulfed in their own thoughts.
Voice: How long are you guys going to sit like this…?
All their trance was broken and turned to find Gauri, in her white night suit, holding a tray in her hands.
Krishna: Devil… You are still awake…? (And walked to her.)
Gauri: Even you’re still awake KB… (She took a cup and handed it to him.) Here, may be this helps…
Krishna: (Took it smiling.)
Gauri: (She offered all our guys with a cup.)
Shivaay: Thanks Gauri… I really needed this… (And lifted his cup.) Feeling better with a cup of espresso…
Neil: Espresso…? Shiv, it is coffee…
Om: Shivaay, it is tea…
Om and Neil said together.
Gauri: (Chuckled and said.) I brought the drinks according to everyone’s like…
Krishna: (Side hugging her.) Have I ever said you that you’re the best…?
Gauri: Yes, when ever you want me to do something for you…
Krishna: (Gave her a sheepish smile.)
Gauri: Stop showing your teeth and speak up…
Krishna: Our mission starts with new hights…
Gauri: (Took a deep breath and spoke.) We’ll succeed KB… So when are we even starting…?
Krishna: NOW… Shall we…?
Arjun: One moment… What mission are you two talking about…?
Gauri: KB… You carry on with them, by then I’ll go change…
Krishna: (Nodded positively.)
Gauri: (Marched out to her room, after passing a faint smile to all.)
Krishna: Ajju bhai, Gauri is not only my childhood friend, she is my partner in good and crime… Till this date whatever I did and found, it was possible only with my devil’s support… She is my backbone, Ajju bhai…
Haider: But that doesn’t answer his question completely…
Krishna: Bhai jaan, as you know Nandhini Pandey is not good to be left free… She is not less than a slow poison for our family… We, Gauri and me, had been planning to get her down at any cost… And we had got a gist of what is she upto… We’re just going to make sure if it is true…
Neil: Bullshit… Forget about even stepping out of our sight K…
Krishna: Nikki bhai, this is why exactly I kept myself hidden all these years… Let me do it, don’t stop me, because I’m not going to stop… I have scores to be settled…
Arjun: (Stepping closer to Krishna, cupping his face with his right hand.) What if I say, we can do it together…?
Krishna: I promised someone to keep you all away from all the evilness and stand at front, facing them bold… I’m not stepping back… I’m not involving you… I’m sorry…
Om: (Placing his hand on his shoulder.) We can’t lose you once again champ…
Krishna: Omi bhai, please don’t stop me… I don’t want to hurt anyone of you… (Locking his eyes with his Ajju bhai.) I’m well trained bhai… Well trained to tackle and escape those clutches…
Om: No, nothing doing… And what about Gauri…? (Blurted out instantly without thinking.)
Krishna: (Smiling, turned to him.) I’m doing… And Gauri, she is master in it… We’re trained together, by the best… I simply don’t call her as my backbone…
Voice: (From the door.) Shall we leave KB…?
All turned to find Gauri dressed in jeans and tshirt with a leather jacket on. She was completely different Gauri, with both dressing and attitude.
Krishna: Yes darling… (Throwing a bunch of key.) Bikes are hidden in the bush as planned earlier… Get them out, I’ll be out in ten…
Gauri: (Gave him a nod and proceeded to the entrance.)
Om: Stop… (To Arjun.) Ajju, stop them… It isn’t safe, they are walking into danger… Alone…
Arjun: (Without moving his gaze from Krishna.) Let them go Om…
Rest: What…?
Shivaay: Arjun, are you even hearing yourself…?
Neil: You both had gone mad… I’m not supporting you in this…
Haider: Neither me…
Om: Stop him Ajju…
Arjun: (Still looking at Krishna, he pulled his chin up, making him look into his eyes.) Hear me out clear young man, better take good care of my little brother, because I’m not giving you an option… (He paused, looked at Gauri once and again shifted his gaze to Krishna and continued.) And protect this lady with your life…
Krishna: I WILL… (Said confidently and walked off with Gauri.)
Haider stepped forward to stop them, but he was pulled back by a hand. He turned to find Arjun staring at him and nodded him no. Except Arjun, rest were hell worried and tension was written on their face. Arjun was composed.
Neil: (Turning Arjun towards him.) What is running in your damn head Ajju…? How could you send him into a death hole just like that…?
Arjun: I trust him Neil… More than that I trust RK uncle’s capability and training… He won’t fail us, he’ll get back to us safe and sound… (Turning away.) I won’t let anything happen to him…
Shivaay: Meaning…?
Haider: You have someone behind them…?
Arjun: No… I’m exactly beside him…
Neil: And how is that…? What is it Ajju…?
Arjun: I had our ACP saab following him as a shadow… I was already informed about Krishna being upto something… What shocked me more was the innocent and bubbly young lady, who turned out to be a bold and different lady… Didn’t expect that even in my wild dreams…
Shivaay: True… Om…
Om: (No response.)
The rest shared a look. They were well aware about his soft corner on the sweet, bubbly lady, Gauri. She was the first who made their Om feel emotions and bring them out of him.
All their trance was broken by a ringtone. It was Arjun’s mobile. He tried to walk off, but was held back by his mischievous buddy, Neil.
Neil: Jeeja ji… Where are you escaping…? Is it my behain giving you a call…? No jeeja ji, no hanky-panky till marriage…
Making everyone burst into fits of laughter.
