Star Plus’ Karn Sangini went on air on October 22, 2018. The show is set to bid farewell to its viewers on February 25, 2019. With just few months of air, the show is pulled off due to the low TRPs. It couldn’t sustain at the 7 pm slot, which had the long running show Saath Nibhana Saathiya earlier. Karn Sangini stars Aashim Gulati as Karn, Tejasswi Prakash as Urvi and Kinshuk Vaidya as Arjun in lead roles. The story is based on a fiction novel titled Karna’s Wife: The Outcast’s Queen. The novel was written on Karn’s unheard chapter of life.
Karn falls in love with princess Urvi, who shares a strong bond of friendship with prince Arjun. She learns that Arjun has been in love with her since childhood. She considers him just a friend. She finds love in compassionate Karn, who belongs to a low caste. Karn’s life has been tough since he was disowned by Kunti at his birth and adopted by a poor family. Urvi stands up with Karn against all odds. She proves her selfless love for him by breaking all the set barriers of class discrimination. The struggles of Urvi are depicted well, but it seemed more like a Saas-bahu drama in between. The show might get replaced by the upcoming Divya Dhrishti. Would you miss Star Plus’ Karn Sangini?
