This year has been such that from it’s very start we all have been praying that it should just come to an end. But even though we went through many ups and downs, there were some pieces of news which we relished. With COVID scenario going on, we thought that marriages would atleast be a tough thing to manage this year but no. Wedding bells have been ringing like every other year and we are elated to share that one more actor from our TV industry is getting hitched.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Shirin Sewani is all set to tie the knot to Udayan Sachan, an airline captain today.
In an interview with Times of India, Sewani said, “I met Udayan at a common friend’s birthday party in October. We hit it off instantly. Later, our families met and thought that we were perfect for each other. I’ve always admired men in uniform and have booked one for life now (laughs!). We are different, yet similar in our approach to life. Besides, we were also looking for someone who could understand the demands of our professions. We will have a court marriage in Delhi following a small puja at home.”
About ending this dreadful 2020 on a positive note, she said, “The year has been challenging for everyone owing to the pandemic. So we decided to tie the knot this year itself, as we wanted the new decade to be marked with beautiful memories and not COVID fears.” Serwani clarifies that she always wanted a court marriage. “However, we will celebrate with our extended families and friends when times improve.”
As per the reports, the two newly weds will fly off to Dehradun to Sachin’s parents house on 7th December. “We are waiting for the situation to improve, so that we can fly somewhere other than the regular honeymoon destinations,” she concluded.
