Everyone works together to make the exhibition a success. Mama ji and Poonam also come to the exhibition. Mama ji appreciates the atmosphere. He meets everyone one by one and is surprised to see Rakesh there. It seems like great family function / business. You should have called Tau ji too. He asks Sameer if he wont touch his feet today. Did you bid adieu to that tradition too? Sameer makes fists of both his hands and glares at him. He walks away followed by Naina. Mama ji calls him angry young man.
Naina asks Sameer why he came here. He says I dint call Mama ji here. Why is he here? She replies that she called him here. Everyone is here. How could I not call him? Forget about business, we are relatives. Sameer refuses to go inside till the time he goes inside. She tells him that
Sameer touches Mama ji’s feet. Mama ji compliments Naina for teaching her husband right. I am joking. I wish you all the luck and success. Make Kaku Sa proud wherever he is! Sameer greets Poonam. Rakesh asks about Prabha. Mama ji shares that she is staying busy these days. She is in Bombay. Who returns easily when you go to your parents’ house? I am having a ball here. Poonam has taken charge of fulfilling her duty. He tells Poonam to buy 11 pieces for both the ladies. Tell everyone to buy clothes from only Sameer’s boutique after today. Poonam nods. Naina shows their collection to Poonam. Rakesh ask Mama ji to come for tea. Mama ji asks him if he will give him Frootli again today. He laughs saying he was joking.
Mama ji asks Rakesh to make bill asap. We are going to get a very big order! Sameer keeps a 10% discount but Mama ji refuses. How much will we save by having discounts in small exhibitions? What will you save this way? Sameer tells him to say whatever he want but you yourself will one day see how much I grow and you will regret it. Pundit asks him to come but Sameer tells Mama ji they have sold 80 dresses till now. Mama ji says I thought you would have understood something till now but no. You are the nephew of Dinanath Maheshwari. All the people present here have come because of my Kaku Sa’s name. Exhibition is like the wedding day. People come to meet you, give you shagun, get pics clicked and leave. Your real test will start tomorrow. I will ask you tomorrow at 6 pm as to how many you dresses you have sold in a day. I will become a salesman for you if you sell more than 2 dresses! You have my word. He pays the bill and walks out in a huff.
Naina and Sameer lie down quietly next to each other but they are thinking about Mama ji’s words.
Voiceover – Sameer:
It is said that you should keep your friends close and enemies closer. I felt like keeping Mama ji there and talk rudely to me as his words gave me an inspiration to grow!
Sameer and Naina share that they cannot sleep. Naina tells him that they cannot stop people from talking. We can only show patience like we showed today. He says we stayed calm as it was just about the two of us. It is about business. How will we manage it alone? She repeats Nanu’s words. You take 1000 days to establish anything new. It was our first day. We wont let anything lag from our end. We can leave the rest on Krishna ji. He hugs her. She also suggests him to spend a little less. She hits him with a pillow to bring a smile on his face.
Bela is thinking about jewellery for Preeti but notices Anand sitting sadly. She tells him not to worry for Preeti. He tells her he is worried for Naina. Kamlesh’s words are haunting me. She says we cannot do anything about such a man. He is upset thinking about the tough times both the kids have to face. How can I see one daughter happy and another unhappy? She tells him everything will be fine. Give some time to Sameer. He just started his business. Anand is worried what if the business wont settle. I never thought Naina will have to go through so many difficulties. He walks away leaving Bela puzzled.
Next morning, Naina and Sameer start their day. Doorbell rings. They open the door excitedly thinking it will be their first customer but it turns out to be Kanji. They exchange pleasantries. Sameer even peeks outside before closing the door.
Voiceover – Sameer:
My heart was beating so fast that day but I was troubling Naina to keep myself distracted. I dint want my fear to come out before Naina. Only real happiness can hide your fears. I was doing the same with Naina.
They chase each other around the house and keep looking back at each other with hope. She cheers him up saying that the day has just begun. Kanji brings food for them but Sameer tells him to bring it later. A lady enters. Naina asks Kanji to bring cold drink for her.
Voiceover – Sameer:
That lady seemed n less than God to us.
Naina shows the lady all the clothes but she ends up asking for kerchief instead. Naina tells her it is a designed boutique where they only keep designer clothes. The lady says it is okay. I thought you will have it as your shop is so big. She leaves. Naina is irked but Sameer calms her down.
Voiceover – Sameer:
Timing is the most crucial thing. First customer did come but we were up to her requirements.
