Epi begins with Naina and Sameer leaning closer for a kiss but she slaps him cutely. I had to kill a mosquito for saving my husband. He smiles and tries again but the mosquitoes bite him. He asks Naina why she is laughing. She says they aren’t biting me. He argues that her blood isn’t sweet. She smiles. They fight for the duvet. They are about to kiss when Sameer is attacked by the mosquitoes every single time. Naina laughs seeing his plight.
Voiceover – Sameer:
That day I understood how many things change when girlfriend and boyfriend become husband and wife. You have to stay with each other and bear each other for 24 hours after all!
Next morning, Kanji wakes Naina and Sameer. Sameer pulls Naina’s hand when she tries waking him but she points at Kanji. Kanji
Voiceover – Naina:
Kanji was right about one thing. Our house and lifestyle was different from other homes. You will soon find out if Sameer and I were doing it right or now.
Naina is cleaning the bed. Sameer asks her what she is doing. She sarcastically replies that she is peeling potatoes. Why do you ask when you can see it? He tells her it isn’t how it is done. She says I do it daily but he shows her his style. She reasons that they are staying at home. It isn’t a hotel. He does not want his house to be less than a 5 star hotel. She suggests him to study now but he asks for some time. She gives him 15 minutes free time.
Bela tells Anand now they should find an alliance for Preeti too. Her college will be over soon. She will keep visiting Naina’s house otherwise. Anand says we spent so much on Naina’s wedding and now we have to give 50k to Bhaisahab also. She reasons that they will start searching now. It will take around a year to find her groom. Tau ji comes there. You would know that Arjun and Juhi are getting married. Like you and Bela took responsibility of Naina’s wedding, we are shouldering the responsibility of Arjun’s wedding. Beena has to go to jeweller to buy stuff for Juhi. I want my share by evening! Anand tries to reason but his brother is unrelenting.
Sameer switches on TV but there is no connection. He checks with the cable guy. Naina brings tea but he complains that it has extra tea. She asks him if she should add whitening cream. Kanji laughs but goes quiet seeing them glaring at them.
Voiceover – Naina:
I felt like
Every wife knows how to keep her husband in check. Mine were the course books!
Sameer is watching match on Doordarshan. Naina shouts at him to remember his promise. You only have to watch TV for 5 minutes. He makes a face but does not react. We spoke about 15 minutes. She replies that 10 minutes got wasted in making tea. In between, she asks him about the teaspoon which he was referring to.
Voiceover – Sameer:
I felt as if it isn’t just responsibilities but fights which also increase after marriage. I thought I was in some crash course. Things crashed for me when Naina stole my first love from me – TV remote!
Sameer eyes the TV longingly as Naina takes him upstairs. Kanji watches them leave. He switches on the TV as soon as they are gone but Naina shouts at him to switch it off. He complies immediately.
Sameer is reading it out loud but Naina tells him to be silent. He makes an excuse and goes downstairs to watch match. Kaniji tells him that Naina is here. Sameer switches off the TV and runs inside the kitchen. Naina picks the remote.
Naina comes to her room and finds Sameer studying.
Voiceover – Sameer:
It was as if Naina and I were playing a match of lying and being honest. I was lying while she was speaking truth. The score was 3-0. I was leading.
Sameer goes downstairs again and finds the remote behind pillows. Naina thinks if it takes so much time in plugging a switch. She comes downstairs to check on him but he hides. She runs upstairs. Naina finds the remote in some other place. She asks Kanji about it. He shrugs. Seeing her glare at him, he goes in another corner. Sameer starts reading loudly when Naina enters. Naina asks him if he dint take too much time in plugging the switch. He lies that he was talking to Kanji. Don’t disturb me. I have to study for exams. He excuses himself again saying that he is hungry. Downstairs, Sameer asks Kanji where Rani of Jhansi has hid the remote this time. Kanji signals him to look behind. Sameer turns and finds Naina staring at him. Sameer fumbles. She asks him if this is what he was hungry for. Landline rings. She tells him to pick it first. Munna asks Sameer where he is. India is about to bat. Sameer nods. Munna says Pundit and I will come over so we can watch the match together. Sameer denies. Munna says you love neither us nor India anymore. India wins every time when we watch it together. Sameer murmurs that it isn’t true but Munna advises him to come to his house with Pundit. We will watch it here. Sameer again says no to him.
Voiceover – Sameer:
I forgot the golden rule that wife can do anything in a second. Naina changed the scorecard in one go. Naina 10, Sameer 0.
Precap: naina is all alone in the house and is utterly scared. She notices a shadow passing from there and screams. She looks intently at the shadow.
