Abheyy S Atrri is an actor who has featured in shows like Kaleerein and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and is well known for his work. Recently the actor was blessed with a daughter. His wife, Drishtii Garewal, also an actress in Punjabi cinema, delivered a baby girl on May 18.
In a recent interaction with Etimes, he said, “I am on cloud nine, and the feeling is indescribable. I was quite nervous when I held my daughter for the first time, and soon tears welled up in my eyes. I always dreamt of having a girl, as daughters are usually closest to their fathers (smiles). Suddenly, I feel more responsible. I make sure that the baby is always comfortable.”
The actor got married during COVID in May 2020. He says, “I don’t have parents. So, it was my responsibility to get my sister married first. Drishtii and I exchanged vows a week later. We decided to plan a baby a year after our marriage.”
The lovely couple hasn’t decided the name of the baby yet. He says, “We haven’t shortlisted or finalised any name, as we are waiting for alphabets, which are numerologically favourable for our daughter. We will hopefully zero in on a name in a couple of days.”
Drishtii adds, “Being a mother is a big responsibility, as your world revolves around your baby. I can’t think of anything other than taking care of my little one’s needs.”
The actress, who was last seen in the Diljit Dosanjh-starrer Jodi (2023), says, “I got married in May 2021 and enjoying my personal life. I have been taking it easy on the work front. I am very happy being a mother and enjoying motherhood. So, I don’t plan to return to the movies anytime soon. My daughter is my priority. However, I will continue with my Vlogs.”
