Hello everyone!
This is my first article on tellyupdates and I’m here to talk about the recent plot development of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehalata Hai.
I was a die hard fan of this show ever since it’s first episode but the plot has started to evolve into a dragging and usual soaps like the other ones. To be frank the whole story is now a mess except for Kaira track.
1.The serial is now filled only with celebrations and travels:-
As far as I have observed, the serial is not as it used to be. When the show began, it narrated how Akshara and Naitik adjusted themselves into their married life and how each of them understood each other. It also showed how a newly wedded girl learnt to fit into her new home and the problems she faced in that process. The problems faced by each of the family members were realistic and showed us how to face such problems with a positive attitude. But now, there is nothing much shown like that. Instead, it only shows the members of both the families getting together and celebrating festivals, weddings and theme partying frequently. Plus, the makers show us some international trips inorder to move the plot further (The upcoming Swiss trip is the fourth international trip in this show I guess).
2.Naksh being sidelined:-
This point is really disheartens me as I like Naksh’s character a lot. Naksh, who used to be the main lead before the five year leap is now barely a supporting character. Rohan has mostly nothing to do besides standing as a silent spectator or getting minimal scenes after that Riya incident.
3.Too much of emphasis on Akshara’s character:-
I agree that Akshara is the female lead but don’t you suppose that her character is being given too much of importance? Who name comes up when there’s a problem in the Maheshwari household? Akshara. To whom do the family members turn up when there is some sort of crisis going on in the house hold. Akshara. At these point of times, I really wonder, what are the other family doing especially the elders? Aren’t they capable of solving any problem?
4.The soap is slowly transforming like the usual soaps:-
It’s really sad to admit the fact that YRKKH which once used to be realistic is now changing into the stereotyped serials like illogical plot, easy to guess scenes and too much of drama.
So guys, these are the facts that make me miss the old YRKKH. If the makers, take note of the above said points, the show will retain it’s old charm and interest us further.

I have totally agree. I agree with each point. It should have ended long time back on a high. Now it is keep on dragging and getting lower.

U r right .I totally agree wid u . I don’t like naksh being sidelined . He does have scenes at all . They brought love interest of naira but not naksh . They r giving too much importance to Akshara . There is a news that gayu will attempt suicide when she comes to know about karthik loving naira . They could bring some love interest for gayu too and finish this love triangle plot . As u said they r simply doing celebrations and trips . Hope yrkkh to its original form soon . Hope all r given equal importance . Thank u for this article

Thanks for commenting Varshini 🙂 It seems that Hina’s the reason for Naksh’s character not getting a pair as she isn’t cool in playing a MIL. And I also read somewhere that Naira would sacrifice her love for Gayu. But I liked Vivaan Gayu’s pair more than Kaiyu

I also agree. They have sidelined Naksh character badly, it seems the writer is in so much love with few characters she created that she can’t see anything beyond it. All the remaining characters are sidelined completely and story has become dragging

iam total agrre with u that old yrkkh has many charm with our best chemistry between karan mehra nd hina khan . pehale story naitik nd akshara par thi bt phir bhi sabhi characters of side line nhi kiya gaya tha sab ka aapna aapna best role tha . ab toh agra new naitik bhi agaya hai tabhi koi farak nhi padhega kyuki jo chemistry karan nd hina ki thi woh chemistry hina nd vishal ki nhi hai main kisi actor ko critize nhi kar rahi hu bt ye toh hai always remember that old is gold nd ab toh srif gana festival hi dikya jata hai nd saare scene filmy hote ja rahe hai nd day by day it become so boring

totally agree with you, nw they r just dragging with festival celebrations and frequest trips and love stories and weddings. gt upset with naira n sukanya track,foolish thing tht it is.i used to die hard fan of yrkkh.nt getting interest to watch also..and forgt nt to mention unneccessary and senseless twists.i dnt understand when raj banna is ready to give property and business to naman nw what naman trying to cheat him? akshara gets more importance in the show..everybody is dumb and she only can understand everything.request to make smething sensible and real stuff.

I guess I am the odd one out here to comment but hope u guys dont end up arguing with me.
initially when yrkkh started it was about a shy girl who got married to a very traditional family but as time evolved she also changed her mindset and also the family evolved. shebhas set into the family .thats a great plot in between after gayathri death I stopped watching it . they were illogical plots even before the leap took place also . celebrations are paet of traditions in country where yrkkh has maintained the modernity with traditions. this is the most positive show we have seen.many of them who is hating the serial right now is just because either bthey hate kaira or karan left the show so they want to end it or because genuinely they hate it.many youth are viewing yrkkh right niq because of the freshness the showhas brought now.yash rose live story was a great track where they showed I inter cultural relationship. in yrkkh we dont have full negative tracks.we have grey characters like rukamini dadi who is right in her perspective. We can’t expect kaira live story to be like akshara love story there is generation leap .we are seeing flawed characters like naira and gayu who are not perfect not mahaan yet likeable relatable we all have gone through misunderstanding with parents during teenage years we all have gone through sibling rivalry we all have had a story of infatuation like gayu which we thought its love.yrkkh is tapping a lot of teenage stories. naira and naksh both have trust issues as they have gone through a lot in their lives.karthik also has a family looks like he has come from broken family or has bad past which touches a point that lot many people who come from broken families hoq do they survive and keep a smile on their faces and still bring smiles on others faces.every episode has a teaching its just perspective which needs to be changed. they even showed how road rage is bad keep ur anger in control.namans track is a big learning family is more important than money.money is just for need not to satisfy greed.coming to show aksharas point she is the lead many of fans wnat her to solve every issue so creativea are satisfying their demands also.naksh track as of now they have sidelined as rajan shah itself said that naksh and tara and sanju track didint work at alk and their chemistry was not accepted by people. and they brought riya track but it was not working so they made riya exit.they r doing trial with naksh jodis it will take time to see them . Sorry if I have hurt someone .they r still people who r watching the show for varied reasons .

You are not the office one shilpa, I am also with you, yrkkh had been, has and will be the best show , just 50 more episodes and it will be the longest running show in India, so exciting
iam not agree with u shilpa karan bahiya nd hina di ki chemistry hi best thi agar yrkkh ke pass itni himat hai toh hina khan ko bhi show se nikal do nd phir dekho ki kartik nd naira itna show chalte hai wese bhi ab karan bahiya nhi hai toh show ki aachi trp nhi aa rahi hai main ye nhi kehti ki vishal aache actor nhi hai woh hai bt karan mehra hi naitik ke role ke liye hamesha se hi perfect the . nd srif akshara ne hi nhi naitik aka karan mehra ne bhi akshara ki hamesha help ki hai ghar ke tradition ko badal ke liye because they always support to each other in any situation thry really love each other nd aaj kl toh bas yrkkh main filmy scenes nd festival hi dekhaye jate hai ab jo chich aayi hai use jana toh padha ga na toh yrkkh ka bhi ek aachi note par end ho jaye. nd phir rajan shai ek new show start kare karan nd hina ko lekar
I want akshara free episodes and even naira is too arrogant at times. I feel sometimes she doesn’t deserve karthik.
