I must say after getting rid of Pehredaar Piya Ki Shashi Sumeet Productions gave us tud absolute gem, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai and I swear if you aren’t watching it you are dumb?. As mentioned on the title chutkara from usual Saas Bahu nonsense and illogical content. Why is it so special for me?
The Characters: The characters are such that you will get attracted to almost each one of them. And how can I not mention the cast, has the best cast! Randeep Rai *crush alert?, Ashi Singh, Raghav Dhir, Sanjay Choudhary, Ayesha Kaduskar, Kristina Patel each one of them are doing a fantabolous job. You can relate to the characters.
90’s era: With this show although being a 2000’s person I relieved the 90’s. The costumes, the setting, how the characters behave, Doordarshan, STD booth, landline calls, no touching etc. You just feel that you are in the 90’s
Humour: YUDKBH doesn’t have an episode which doesn’t have humour. Especially our Changu-Mangu aka Munna-Pandit who crack stupid yet hilarious jokes. I loved when Pandit dressed up as a cleaner to get money from Sameer???. Their stupid tactics have a hilarious outcome.
Emotions: The emotions are portrayed amazingly portrayed. Kiddos to the fantastic actors. How first crush felt like? How first confession felt like? How first break up felt like? How a bride felt on the day of wedding? How it feels to get taunts from your sister-in-law? How it feels like when your heart is broken? How it feels like on confessing love? How it feels like to have your first touch with the person you love? Everything is portrayed in YUDKBH.
NO ILLOGICAL CONTENT: In YUDKBH the leads dont have to get married 5 times and get divorced 5 times. The female lead isn’t mahan bahu. The characters aren’t the know-it-all people, they have flaws. The saas doesnt always irriate the bahu and vice versa. There arent 50 leaps. The male lead doesn’t behave like dumbos. There arent memory loss tracks. There arent 5000 antagonists. No ILLOGICAL CONTENT. Only relatable and logical CONTENT.
