The entertainment industry is going through a big change with the availability of various OTT platforms. The OTT platforms have provided the entertainment industry with a fresh breeze of independence when it comes to creating content. Ziddi Dil Maane Na actor Angad Hasija talked about it in a recent interview with BT.
He says, “OTT has become a different industry altogether. I find it very happening and exciting. We sit at home and watch OTT shows and it is very enjoyable. I have seen that not only the youth but many elders too have shifted to OTT as they get more variety. It offers different concepts, has a newer approach and the presentation is different.”
“TV was always there and will always be there. We can’t compare these two mediums, they will co-exist. But yes, OTT is a step ahead. Today you can watch variations on TV and watch OTT as well. There is so much one can choose from. Also for actors, it’s a great phase with different mediums coming up. The doors have opened up to them showcase their talent. The same applies to those working behind the scenes,” he adds.
Talking about the pandemic slowing down things for some industries, Angad said, “We did not have much to do with the COVID-19 situation. Things that stopped for two years have now begun to flow. I pray everything comes back on track soon.”
